  1. I found the answer to one of my questions in the manual I found online. The transmission fluid temp gauge is available as a digital gauge between the two large gauges and is accessed by pressing "info knob" 3 times. This will display a horizontal bar graph or little lines from left to right. There is a range marking which indicates that is is within normal operating temp, or above. It does not look like it provides a digital number though (?). Would still like to know if anyone can speak to the aux tranny cooler question. ;)
  2. Will be ditching my 2011 Suburban LTZ 1500 for an NV 3500 SL coming up in June. Just had a great week long trip with our new Bullet Premier 31BHPR. The Burb actually did quite well with it, so I expect the NV to do even better (better rear end ratio, stronger motor, better towing wheels vs. 20" chrome wheels on the Burb, etc etc). My question though - I really like the ability to press a button on the Burb and see what my tranny temp is. Does the NV have this option? Is there a tranny temp gauge anywhere in the instrument cluster? Also - Do the SL's with the tow/nav package have independent (aux) tranny coolers? Transmission fluid temp is priority #1 when towing if all else is comfortably within manufacturers limitations. Anyone know the answer to these two questions? Thank you! Josh
  3. I was referring to noted sliding door issues, tire wear issues, door lock issues, and a few other things a few folks have mentioned. I wasn't cheerleading for the GM SUV's at all. Only saying I've been very pleased with the reliability of [mine] and wanted to hear from others who have an NV since they are relatively new (not even any documented safety tests or crash rating that I can find anywhere). I'm very confident that I'll be switching to one of these soon... Just doing my due diligence. ;)
  4. Black is my fav. Trying to convince my wife who wants the burgundy color.
  5. Thanks so much for the reply. Good to see some high mileage success! :)
  6. Same thing here... Suburban is getting tight. Very nice rig!
  7. Trying to decide on jumping ship from a 2011 Suburban that my family if 7 is outgrowing. The apprehension is in the defects that I've been reading on this forum. Several have had issues with less than 10,000 miles. I have 61,000 on the Suburban and have never had an issue. Do any of you folks with more than 10k miles have happy (issue free) stories to tell about this vehicle? Also - having a hard time figuring out what the biggest wheels and tires are that can be run without having to shim the sliding door to prevent rubbing....? Thanks in advance!

Does your sliding door still fully open without hitting the rear tire?

Looks great. I have 5 young kids who will not work well with the tan interior. No way cloth will do it for us either. How did you get them to agree to this? Did it take a long time? Cost?
