  1. Hi All: I am looking to do a wheel/rubber change out on my 2017 NV3500 SL. I want to go to an all black wheel and a more aggressive A/T type wheel. I have just started to research this topic and before I go see wheel/tire people I would like to educate myself a bit more. I have included, what I hope is accurate, a listing of factory wheel/tire specs. My confusion lies in the wheel diameter and offset. I want to stay with the 17" wheel size but does anyone know how wide a rim I can go to or how much offset (+/-) can be utilized before any rubbing occurs? Thanks for all your help. NV Passenger NV3500 HD Bolt Pattern - PCD 8x165.1Stock wheel offset - 18 to 20 mmCenter bore (hub bore) - 121.0Thread size - M14 x 1.5Stock Rim Sizes Range - 17x8.0 – 17x8.0Tire sizes - 245/70 R17 – 245/70 R17
  2. After reviewing everything on the internet I finally had to take a leap and try my own combination of wheels and tires on my new 2016 NV3500 SL. I didn't want to have to shim the side door. Based on some of the measurements I did, I feel I found the perfect combo for a "no-mod" install. This is factory suspension as well. Rims are 20x9 with 25mm offset. This keeps the wider tire clear of the suspension components. I went with with a 265/60 R20 Nitto TerraGrappler. The tire sticks out about an inch further than the stock tires. As you can see in the picture, there's just enough clearance between the sliding door interior panel and the tire sidewall when fully open. Hopefully this helps someone out. Good luck!
  3. Hello! I'm trading in my van soon and I'm looking for either wheels and tires or just tires for the standard NV silver wheels with hubcaps. I have a 2014 NVP for reference.
  4. So I put some wheels and tires on the NV 3500 and the sliding door rubs on the wheels maybe 1/4". I've seen a couple people post on here about "shimming" the door or adding washers as spacers on the mount area. Any ideas? Looking at replacing the inner door panel with some sheet metal but would rather just space the door out.... Any ideas please throw them my way. Wife isn't too happy the door won't slide open all the way.
  5. So I am currently running 245/75r17 Cooper atw on stock rims on my HD3500SL 2x4 stock everything, and just purchased summer rims and tires, nitto terragrappler 275/55r20 on fuel Maverick 20s with a 20mm offset, now.... Those tires aren't LT rated the max psi is going to be 55ish.... I know that when I've had my rear tires not inflated to 80psi I get a tire light that comes on (error). So obviously I'm going to have that same issue when I mount these new wheels correct? I really don't tow anything so having the stiffer e rated tires wasn't important to me, and I've scoured the forum trying to find ppl that have talked about this issue, So....should I have gone to an e rated tire size like LT265/65r20 or maybe even bigger with a 2" lift? Or do you think that this setup will be just fine with what I have going on, and is there a way I can get the pcm reprogrammed to read 55psi in the rear so I don't throw internal codes?
  6. Wheels and Tires FOR SALE $500: 285 / 70 / 17R General Grabber AT tires on KMC Machete wheels (8x6.5 bolt pattern) I've had these wheels and tires on my NV3500 for about 5 years (second set of tires) they are a great looking and performing wheel/tire package. The tires never rub (stock NV no lift) and have lot's of life left on them (see image for tread depth). Wheel finish is black satin and near perfect condition with no major blemishes. The plastic center caps are looking a little sun faded but can be replaced with new ones easily. I'm in southern CA (Orange County) NOT willing to ship. Cash pick-up only. a steal at $500... hurry I've already ordered my new wheels and tires and don't have space to store these.
  7. I've got the takeoff chrome wheels and tires from a brand new 2017 Nissan NV 3500. 8x165.1 lug pattern. Tires are stock Firestone Transforce HT 245/70r17. They will be available any day after Friday 3/9. Only about 1500 miles on the NV. I think new tires alone run about $700. Selling for $1000. We just lifted the ban and putting larger wheels and tires on. Located in Jacksonville, FL. Text for more info. 904-71O-O376
  8. Got new shoes for my NV today. Took off the terrible Hankook AT-M and mounted up some Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor Pro Grades in 265/70-17 on stock rims. Load E 10 ply, all terrain tires with two belts of kevlar. These are "commercial" duty tires and are labeled Pro Grade by Goodyear. Supposedly they have a tougher compound that resists chunking and excessive wear when towing. They also have the snowflake designation for extreme winter use but I wont need that here! My Hankooks were great for about 20,000 miles and then started downhill rapidly. By 30,000 miles they were very very worn (two were at the indicators already!) even with rotations and they were very noisy. Granted a lot of miles were towing our 7600 pound camper but they are LT Load E tires! Could not wait to get them off my van. My cousin is on the board of directors for Goodyear so she sent me a friends and family discount code to get the Wranglers. I had planned on getting BFG KO2's again (had them on my Tundra) but could not pass up the deal on the Goodyears and the SilentArmor tires are/were among the best they made. I say "were" because technically they do not sell them anymore in stores. They have a newer Wrangler AT Kevlar out that replaced them. The SilentArmor were better rated and still a favorite of many owners. Goodyear told me they still make them but only in very limited sizes and are mainly OEM tires for commercial 3/4 and 1T trucks as a special order. They said a lot of construction guys and buyers like that want them so they kept them for that usage. I ended up special ordering them online and having them shipped to my local Goodyear store. Employees were surprised to see them, they thought they were long gone! I was going to get Duratracs but my cousin and her fellow employees talked me into the SA's for my needs. Only have about 50 miles of driving around on them so they are still squirmy from being brand new. I have a 4 hour tow each way up into the mountains this weekend so that will break them in quickly! Will probably be driving down some dirt and gravel roads this trip as well so I am looking forward to seeing how they do. I'll update how these do as time goes on. I am not driving the NV daily anymore but we still use it for trips.
  9. I have (4) tires and wheels to sell cheap! Great condition...tires have 30K miles on them. Message me if you are interested or email. Location is Florida. 2015 NVP. Thanks, Cary
  10. I have 4 good wheels and tires....send a message if interested.
  11. Looking to get new tires for 2013 NVP3500 SL. I like a heavier looking tire but mainly want something that does great on grass, dirt, snow, and pavement. I am not offroading but with the stock firestones just being on wet grass is too much. Does anyone have any experience with either of these 2 tires on an NV? I hear the KO2's are quieter but the Duratracs are better in the snow. Does anyone have any experience with these tires on this van?
  12. I got 4 tires and wheels for sale...I live in Lake Worth, FL so distance may be an issue. Wheels are in very good condition and the tires have about 30K miles on them...some tread but of course not perfect. Give me an offer....thanks, Cary 561-809-2441
  13. I have chrome wheels with tires, brand new. They have less than 1000 miles on them. I'm in Jacksonville. Probably cheaper to buy whole setup from me than to get new tires alone. Text 904-710-0376. I'll try to figure out how to post pictures.
  14. From the album: HAPPY.....no longer ENVY

2018 NV3500 Passenger. American Outlaw Rangers 17X8.5 +18 offset. BF Goodrich KO2s: 285/70/17s. No rubbing, sliding door clears easily. Still fits in the garage at 85.5 inches tall.
  15. Selling 4 wheels and tires. I live in Lake Worth, FL so that may be an issue. If interested let me know. Will give super cheap or trade for a convertible that can fit in my back seat...! They are the 17 inch originals...2015 NV 3500
  16. I put new 20's on my truck...selling the stock rims and tires for cheap. I live in Lake Worth, FL 33467 if you are interested. Not perfect tread, but not bald. 245/70/17
  17. I put 20's on my truck and have no need or space for the old ones. Anyone want the original tires and wheels from my 2015 NVP...there is still tread on them (not brand new, but not bald). Make an offer....I live in Lake Worth, FL 33467 so logistics may be of concern, but willing to make a deal. Thanks, Cary
  18. What do you recommend for an all-season tire for on-road use in a region that gets occasional snow and ice in the winter? After last winter, I'm really not a fan of the OEM tires. I'm not interested in snow tires because I don't want to switch out them every time the weather changes. Some of the all-terrain tires are supposed to be good in the snow, but I don't know how they'll affect gas mileage, comfort, and road noise. I'd also like tires that last a long time. I'm not expecting miracles here, but there must be far better options than the tires that came with the van. What are your recommendations?
  19. Here's a couple pics of new American Racing 901 17" rims with Sumitomo Encounter HT 265/70/R17 tires -- the rear door now literally kisses the tire (but doesn't rub hard enough to be prohibitive).
  20. Looking to upsize my tires from the 245/70-17 (standard on 1500, 2500) to the 245/75-17 (standard on 3500) anyone know of VSS changes (i.e. software changes) to accommodate the slightly taller tire? The van came with a pair of brand new unmounted Transforce 245/75-17, I like the profile, just want to see if anyone here has experience with putting a taller tire on, and how the speedometer reacted. Thanking. You.
  21. From the album: The BEAST !!!

XD 797 with Nitto Grappler G2 10 ply..
  22. From the album: The BEAST !!!

Got some new 20's ...off with the bicycle tires...! Pretty big difference...front to rear! Nice to be able to stop and not get stuck in sugar sand!
  23. Selling my 4 wheels and 4 tires on my NV 3500 SL, 2015 if interested. Thought about keeping them for a rainy day or for resale (if I ever sell the Beast)...but think I want to keep this truck forever! Throw me a price....the tires are worn down a bit with 31K miles, but no where near bald. I can measure the mm of tread left and will take some pics. Rims in great shape...upgraded to 20's.
  24. Looking to put some new shoes on the BEAST! Huge truck looks funny with small tires/wheels and does not do well in soft sand or rain. I don't have a lift on the NVP 3500 SL, 2015 (yet). Please send any suggestions on wheel/tire size. 17-22"...looking to put on the best AT tires (all terrain) that does not wear really quickly or is not very loud since I do quite a bit of highway driving as well. size and offset would be greatly appreciated (I really don't want to shim my door so it fits, but it's not out of the question if it's worth it). Best and cheapest site to buy from...etc. Thanks! The BEAST!
