fenderfatstrat6 Posted December 29, 2016 I think this will be a good topic to help everyone share info on what parts from other Nissan's fit the NV as we know it's a Brother-Cousin, lol or Sister-Uncle to the Titan. I am looking to know what part's we can swap from other nissan's to make our NV's Loaded! A few thing's I have on my mind so far are Titan Headlights? 8 lug wheels? Stereo Stereo Stereo!? I would like something more up to date than my 12' outdated NAV unit that is still OEM Front Bumper fit from a titan? Anything electrical at all swap over? Do seat's bolt right up? Over and out! :) 2 Bamps and chphilo reacted to this
trdriver71 Posted January 28, 2017 All I know is that Chevy and Dodge 8 bolt rims fit the NV and your nav the best bet to stay up to date on the maps is to buy something like a garman etc. 2 chphilo and Bamps reacted to this
chphilo Posted January 28, 2017 (edited) All I know is that Chevy and Dodge 8 bolt rims fit the NV and your nav the best bet to stay up to date on the maps is to buy something like a garman etc. The bolt pattern for NV 3500 is 8x165. (which chevy van does have the same pattern). Nissan wheels are 17 inches and their wheels are 16. We do have substantially larger brake rotor. We have 14.2" rotor in the front and 14.4 in the rear. Theirs is 12.8 in the front and 13 in the rear. Ford van rotors are 12.1 and 12.1 and ProMaster have whopping 11.8 front rotor and 11 in the rear. They could fit smaller wheels because they have tiny rotors. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in, but I don't think 16 inch wheels will fit Nissan rotor. I know that Tundras have 14 inch brake rotors and the smallest wheels they could mount is 17 inch (there are only a couple of 17 that fit last time I checked). OP, I like the idea of this thread. We have so few options on aftermarket stuff for the van. Edited January 28, 2017 by chphilo 1 Bamps reacted to this
Daniel Strange Posted January 29, 2017 Since the NV does not come standard with a cabin air filter, I had to use the Nissan 350Z filter recommendation. That's the first thing I learned about this NV. Part recommendations don't exist! 1 Bamps reacted to this
trdriver71 Posted January 29, 2017 (edited) I was actually referring to the truck 8 bolt patterns for the chevy and dodge and both of them use 17" or larger on their trucks. I have also seen that fram makes a cabin filter for these vans now too. http://www.framfreshbreeze.com/Installation.aspx?yr=2012&me=Nissan&ml=NV3500 Edited January 29, 2017 by trdriver71 1 Bamps reacted to this

trdriver71 Posted February 20, 2017 I wouldn't think so garmin keeps everything internal but I found that they have free lifetime map updates and the Nissan one is costly to update so its just better and cheaper just to buy a external type gps. but that is just my feeling on the subject. ymmv. ASD Dad Posted February 21, 2017 OK....It is too bad that Nissan chooses to gouge on this one. All car companies do. When was the last time you saw cheap parts or labor from a dealership?? Nav updates have always been expensive in my experience. I just use my phone as a backup. We have so much construction going on around here that GPS companies cant keep up. Google Maps barely keeps up and I see their camera cars all the time!
fenderfatstrat6 Posted May 19, 2017 FRIENDS!!!!! Sorry, I have been a bad poster I failed to click follow on this post, so I didn't even see your post's till now. What I have found since posting is it seems there are only a very limited number of other factory wheels that will swap over to our rig's, Usual issue tends to be the center bore is slightly too small or wayyyyyyyy too small. If I got a set rims close to free, I would have them turned since it's a very very small amount that would need to be overcome. I know that last statement will be controversial with some folks about modifying wheel's, but I am a dare devil ;) kidding... I just am comfortable with the risk/reward. I like the standard aluminum wheels that are on big rig's, and dually truck's I am looking into seeing if A set of 4 factory / OEM front wheels from a Ford, Dodge or Chevy Might work. Would be cool to get something a bit more stylish and lighter the factory wheels I don't so much mind the looks of them when you add the factory chrome skin but the 17" tire size isn't OEM for really anyone else and made getting some low-dough second-hand snow tires last winter a challenge VS something in the 18", 20" I see tons of all day long. Is the 2012 GPS software Garmin or NAVTEQ? Anyone know if the Titan's share aftermarket parts? Titan weather tech floor mats or IN CHANNEL Vent shades? The OEM vent shades look great minus the button mounts on them, but I am a bit OCD about wanting things to look "Smoof." TITAN Headlights? Do they fit the NV? I really like the aftermarket Headlight options I am seeing for them. lol we are like the outcast Titan/ Armada Family member's .. you know the one everyone even Grandma avoid's at family event's ;) haha I clicked follow on this topic; I welcome New friends just let me know you're a fellow NV'er https://www.facebook.com/Fenderfatstrat
DIYdad Posted May 31, 2018 I have a 2016 NV3500 SV. It has a cabin filter slot behind the glove box. Currently there is no filter in it. I found from another post that a Nissan GT-R cabin filter fits! How about that!
radin2son Posted May 31, 2018 At the 60k service, the service advisor added changing the cabin filter. He assumed all NVs had them. I didn’t pick up on this because cargo vans didn’t have them. The micro filter part number is 99M1-VP005. The part was $37.67. Labor was $46.95.
Bamps Posted July 27, 2018 Air cleaner filter (under the hood) Titan 5.6 or Frontier 4.0L filters fit as well as any aftermarket for same. Drop in filter K&N, aFe, etc., fit and same aftermarket CAI
Mark Rogers Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) Since the NV does not come standard with a cabin air filter, I had to use the Nissan 350Z filter recommendation. That's the first thing I learned about this NV. Part recommendations don't exist! My 2016 NV3500 uses the same cabin air filter as the 2016 GT-R. (I don't know if that's the same filter that the 350Z uses or not.) If I look up the filter for the NV at the parts store, the book recommends a filter that's too big to fit. Travis Diamond Posted April 3, 2021 (edited) Do the titan bumpers fit on the nv vans ? Supposed to be same frame and front end ... I’ve had mixed answers Edited April 3, 2021 by Travis Diamond
crusty Posted April 7, 2021 Frame may be close, but the body is completely different. The bumper to body interface will be completely wrong. But a 2012 VW Routan cabin air filter also fits the full size NV vans.
Ron Posted August 15, 2021 I’d like to replace the front seats on my 2014 NV2500 with something more comfortable. Does anyone know whether the Titan seats are an easy drop in, or any other seats that are an easy swap? I’m mostly concerned about electronic sensor compatibility. crusty Posted August 16, 2021 I would be more worried about the side airbag calibration.
