jwilson Posted June 13, 2017 (edited) So I put some wheels and tires on the NV 3500 and the sliding door rubs on the wheels maybe 1/4".I've seen a couple people post on here about "shimming" the door or adding washers as spacers onthe mount area. Any ideas? Looking at replacing the inner door panel with some sheet metal but wouldrather just space the door out.... Any ideas please throw them my way. Wife isn't too happy the door won't slide open all the way. Edited June 13, 2017 by jwilson
chphilo Posted June 14, 2017 What is the width and offset of your wheels? What tire size did you go with? Could you post some pictures of how far the tires stick out?
jwilson Posted June 14, 2017 Sure. The wheels are 20x10 (I can't remember the offset because we took these off our other NV. The tires are 285/55/R20 Toyo Open Country. The door opens half way and then slides up against tire. It was the same on last NV and we dealt with it but on the new one she doesn't want to have the door restricted anymore. ASD Dad Posted June 15, 2017 That looks like it is way past shimming spacing possibilities. The people that have shimmed were just barely rubbing on the door. I am not sure if you shimmed it that far out if the door would close properly.

MilesD Posted November 10, 2020 jwilson - did you find a solution? Sliding door shims or modify the door panel?
