SebestaNV Posted May 25, 2020 So the family and I went on our first trip this weekend with our new spirit 3379BH and new recurve R3 wdh, took a bit to get the rear end sag under control but got it set and had a great weekend, on our way home we were almost to the house, and heard a loud bang, and basically as photos show the adjusting bolt sheered through and all of the weight was back sitting on the toung. Very disappointing and depending on what the RV place orders as a compensation we will most likely be going with the 4pt Equalizer this week, for an extra 200 but I guess it's worth it if these are the issues we can run into. andy_george Posted May 26, 2020 I’m not familiar with that style of wdh. What exactly did the adjusting bolt do? A pic of the entire unit may help me...?

So I got a replacement for free due to defect, and installed 5/8 washers to stiffen up that adjustment screw. Won't be able to test until next weeks calling trip, will post outcome... Very easy and nice design for a heavy duty hitch, and if this is the simple fix then I will give this hitch a great rating.
