vanguy Posted February 14, 2014 There have been some pretty big snows in the Midwest, Central, & East Coast recently. Just wondering how your NV did in the snow? Please list your model/style of van. Did you have snow tires, stock tires, chains?
Elfmaze Posted February 14, 2014 2500 v8 light load..... Gets there.....but it slips around and hills are a no no. Chains will do it well. I will be grabbing a set.
Bikeboy80 Posted February 16, 2014 3500 v8 high top, stock tires. Not sure of weight but it's full of racking and tools?I didn't go out in the height of the storm but the van did fine for what it is. The roads were hard pack and areas of solid ice. I have been turning the traction control off during these storm because every little slip leaves me with no power and occasionally in an unsafe spot. I would rather be in control of the throttle!
BX77 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Firestone Winterforce on all 4 corners, no issues with this NYC mess! NV 2500 SV V8 Edited February 16, 2014 by BX77
Tatunka Posted February 26, 2014 Been pushing 18 inches of snow in some spots around here with no problems. But I have an unfair advantage, 4x4 and 34" BFG AT's. I do wish they made a locker or at least a LSD for this rear end though. 1 Jerry reacted to this
kenmnv Posted March 1, 2014 4 Brigdestone Blizzak winter tires. Good traction in snow and ice. Previously have used Firestone Winterforce which have good grip also, but more road noise at highway speeds.
