  1. Hi Geepman, Mine is a 2015 2500 High Top 5.6 and I have not done any mods. I pull a flatbed with two antique John Deere's weighing in at 6300 pounds over the Cascades and Rockies. It will run 55-60 up hill which is fine with me. Do you know if the rear axle gear ratio changed 2015 to 2016? Let us know how you make out.
  2. Hi delawaredave12, Glad you got it figured out. I might have left out the fact that a bit of plastic trimming was needed. Post a photo! i also added the vented CRL window on the drivers side. So far have not needed a fan using the windows and SkeeterBeaters. Best Regards, Mike Laharview Farm
  3. Suzi gets unloaded when the going is tough.
  4. Welcome! I have to echo the above responses. My NV is the first 4x2 I have owned and have been very happy with the off grid places I have gone to. I was thinking a conversion however after two years and over 130 days out I have not found a need. She drives and handles very nice in stock configuration. When in doubt stop and scout out ahead on foot. I always carry chains and would use them in the mud/snow if needed. For a conversion definitely the V-8 in a 2500 or 3500. Check out my build under Laharview Farm Camper. Best Regards, Mike
  5. Hi radin2son, They sent the magnets however the rod carries the weight so I did not need them. They do work good for holding phone charger cords, brew openers, etc! I'll send them the photos as well. Best Regards, Mike
  6. Bought the big Skeeter Beater for the back door and found it a bit of a challenge to get up solo. So we sewed a horizontal rod pocket near the top and used a piece of 5/16" solid round stock as a curtain rod. The bag works good for storage and it is now very fast to deploy.

    Black Rims

Hi All, Looking for any photos of a white high top SV with black rims. Any out there? If so, what rims did you use? Took a run to Evens Creek/Mowich Lake near Mt. Rainier last weekend (30+ miles of washboard one way) and picked up a screw near the lake, most likely from the Sprinter I was following!. TPS let me know and tire change out was simple. I think the black spare looked quite nice. Only chrome on mine is the grill badge and mirrors that I would leave. Thanks, Mike
  10. Heading to the next eclipse, Texas in 2024. Who's up for a road trip!
  11. Last trip through Idaho and Montana got just over 17 MPG!
  12. Welcome! These are a great platform to start with.
  13. Last photo I'll add! This was the run over Snoqualime Pass and Tiger Summit. 70 MPH on cruise. Very happy.
  14. A new high! I have checked the math and is right.
  15. He brought telescopes with filters and another piece that tracked the eclipse taking shots every 5 minutes. My photo is a cell camera shot of the telescope image. Will post better photos when his site is updated.
  16. Just broke into 17 MPG, 2015 2500 HD high top conversion. Mostly flat land running 65 to 70 using cruise.
