  1. I spent all day on this I really really need some help, I have a 2012 Nv2500 non tow package with power mirror's I have Blue Red Pink in my connector that goes to the mirror, but I am missing wires to get the heated featured, I have no problem running them directly not in the plug since I am using aftermarket heaters can anyone help me with what wires I am tapping? Let's stay positive and on message saying it can't be done won't help lol
  2. did you at least give the chicken a quality final resting place?? soup maybe? ;)
  3. Did you end up laying the bed liner on the roof? I am thinking of the same thing for my rig, I agree that vinyl is a good option also but bed liner is the toughest option. Parking on street at times the options you didn't think had low branches do and that's a bit hard to have to deal with but bed liner would take all the drama out of it in my mind. There are some stylish options out there it doesn't have to look bad
  4. anyone have the plug part numbers ?
  5. FRIENDS!!!!! Sorry, I have been a bad poster I failed to click follow on this post, so I didn't even see your post's till now. What I have found since posting is it seems there are only a very limited number of other factory wheels that will swap over to our rig's, Usual issue tends to be the center bore is slightly too small or wayyyyyyyy too small. If I got a set rims close to free, I would have them turned since it's a very very small amount that would need to be overcome. I know that last statement will be controversial with some folks about modifying wheel's, but I am a dare devil ;) kidding... I just am comfortable with the risk/reward. I like the standard aluminum wheels that are on big rig's, and dually truck's I am looking into seeing if A set of 4 factory / OEM front wheels from a Ford, Dodge or Chevy Might work. Would be cool to get something a bit more stylish and lighter the factory wheels I don't so much mind the looks of them when you add the factory chrome skin but the 17" tire size isn't OEM for really anyone else and made getting some low-dough second-hand snow tires last winter a challenge VS something in the 18", 20" I see tons of all day long. Is the 2012 GPS software Garmin or NAVTEQ? Anyone know if the Titan's share aftermarket parts? Titan weather tech floor mats or IN CHANNEL Vent shades? The OEM vent shades look great minus the button mounts on them, but I am a bit OCD about wanting things to look "Smoof." TITAN Headlights? Do they fit the NV? I really like the aftermarket Headlight options I am seeing for them. lol we are like the outcast Titan/ Armada Family member's .. you know the one everyone even Grandma avoid's at family event's ;) haha I clicked follow on this topic; I welcome New friends just let me know you're a fellow NV'er https://www.facebook.com/Fenderfatstrat
  6. If you paid him good money to do the job and you don't feel he did a good job take it back and tell him.. what's fair is fair.
  7. Thanks for reading Post about my Project and it's planning. I am not the type to enter anything that I can't complete. I knew exactly what I was getting into and while I dream larger than life! Generally, my heavy amount of research before hand doesn't yield anything but top notch results :) I spent 6 months researching probably 40hrs a week (late nights) every single option for what would best suit my needs- Fullsize, Reliable, Tall, Solidly Built rig that could house my big heavy motorcycle inside and still have a bit of room to move around and not duck down EVER!, that looked good ( I know some of you say the NV is ugly, but I love it) looks way better than anything else in the category and its not a cramped,HOT cab chevy box truck! :) KNOWLEDGE TRULY IS POWER, MY FRIENDS! :) But it does get exhausting looking for all this Info and Stuff.. I drove it home with squishy 40psi tires up front and 60 in the back and got about 15mpg babying it like crazy .....it was about 4hours up and down mountains half the way. I came home filled up the tires to 80 front and back, put MOBILE 1 full synthetic oil in 0w30, mobile 1 oil filter, AEM Dry OEM Drop in "Dry" lifetime air filter, said some nice things to it ....you know ( told it was pretty and that I would love it like the previous owners didn't) I did 100 miles highway and sat at 17.8-18mpg at 65-70MPH ( indicated) I think I am going in the right direction I still have some more thing's to Farkle to see if I can squeeze some more out of it. I am going to be the best MPG Tall top rig by time I am done with the exception of the high altitude guys :)
  8. what psi is going to give me the best mpg and no premature wear on say the stock tires?
  9. This is my first truck coming from all tiny cars I always set the psi at max cold psi when tires were cold of course for best MPG. the stock Tires rate max psi at 80 Psi there shouldn't be any adverse affects to this since they are within' the manufacturer's specs though right? :)
  10. Can you tell Us what kind of Dampener and insulation you used? :) Also did it do what you were looking for it to?
  11. SKRUGS! Thanks for that info i appreciate you making the effort :) I weighed My entire spare last night before i saw this post ( I am now following it) and it was 75lbs with a minty fresh full tread tire on it. I assume there is about as much if not more steel on the factory spare as the factory "stylized steel rim".
  12. Yeah the Fortin looks like our best bet from what i can tell. I maybe getting one if i can't find any other viable options
  13. I am looking for an exact weight on what the factory steel rims weigh it will help me decide on rim options since i am looking to shed weight (mainly) and gain some extra looks :) This weight can be the rim only or rim and factory tire I just want to have numbers that i can know are solid figures to work with. No point in upgrading if they weigh more.
  14. I think this will be a good topic to help everyone share info on what parts from other Nissan's fit the NV as we know it's a Brother-Cousin, lol or Sister-Uncle to the Titan. I am looking to know what part's we can swap from other nissan's to make our NV's Loaded! A few thing's I have on my mind so far are Titan Headlights? 8 lug wheels? Stereo Stereo Stereo!? I would like something more up to date than my 12' outdated NAV unit that is still OEM Front Bumper fit from a titan? Anything electrical at all swap over? Do seat's bolt right up? Over and out! :)
  15. Buying OEM Wheel's seem to work well they are plentiful, generally cheap and well YEAH! Craigslist is your friend need i say more? ;) So i am hunting for OEM wheels from any maker that fit the NV from stock 17" up to 20" thanks Friends!
  16. Well i guess let's keep this topic alive and To the TOP! :) I want to buy your stuff people! lol and maybe if i have some good stuff to sell you can buy mine! The overlords might be concerned about drama with deal's that go bad but this seem's like a tame crowd of Van peep's
  17. You're going to have to tap the Speaker with a line out converter that gives you RCA plugs search line out converter on google :)
  18. Don't worry about that sheet it will go back on if the putty doesn't stick back to it take a blow dryer and just warm it a bit and it should regain it's stick! the putty when it's really warm out is nasty don't get it on your skin it is hard to get off. as well as head hair arm hair haha and any other hair that might be near it! TMI! ;)
  19. Hey Hey!! :) I have been on Their eBay page often and scouring the entire internet for everything all the time lol probably an unhealthy amount ... But I am in a hurry so no choice. They still don't have everything I am in need of. I need to find a fairly complete NVP, And a Titan first years to 2017 I can retrofit parts off them. I haven't decided what seat's i am putting in OEM seats of some sort, heated and cooled would be the best! I like the Nismo Recaro seat's haha they would lend some classy edginess to the "Fridge" So far I am doing great Just have put a massive amount of face time in the wiring diagrams and fitter guide. I am a never say never guy and 99.99999% of the time I can strategize a solution that is clean and not hacked. :) It seems Nissan creates a ton of part numbers that don't match the exact same part but on a different car, Checking amount of pins, configuration's and connector shape usually get's you going in the right direction. OEM plug and play is a very tasty thing :) As for insulation I am not thinking I will be committing to a permanent blockage to the access of my wiring and future wiring.
  20. This forum is confusing; there is not a classifieds section like every forum that ever existed. I asked the key holders of the site to add it on there but who am i right? Anyway, so I need to know where it's acceptable to post WTB items or even things I might be selling. This sort of thing brings the community together I wish we could all get on the same page about it. *Ahem cough cough* ;)
  21. Hey, Friends!!! :) I got a 2012 NV2500 Cargo High Roof V8 SV almost two months ago, and I have been looking forward to owning a big vehicle for quite some time I am and always will be a Die hard Honda (Anything) Guy but I have owned a couple 1991 Nissan 240sx's that got all done up In a super clean, super OEM way ( it's fun to drive a 1991 and people ask if it's brand new) My last car was a Honda Fit which was the largest vehicle I have ever owned ;) The NV is going to be my do it all machine, RV, Motorcycle hauler ( 2012 Goldwing), Stuff hauler and all around a good time. I owned it for about 24hr's Before removing all the interior panels/ trim/ rubber mat on the wall's and floor to see what the bones looked like and what direction I was to be going in. I want to get the cockpit area done up first since everything is apart quite far. Any advice on what people have personally used here for insulation for sound but mainly Thermal? Primarily I am looking to make as similar to the NVP as possible. With that being said I have had some trouble trying to find second-hand Parts at reasonable prices. I would like to know if anyone has a local Salvage yard that has one in it ? or if they bought back an NV after an accident that you would be willing to sell parts off of. Here are some parts I am looking for: 2015 or 2016 NAV Unit 5.8" screen Tow Mode Switch Blue and brown relay/fuses found in fuse boxes by battery Chrome front bumper with fog lights / front parking sensor's Front parking brain box and dash switch. Seven-way harness connector Interior slider door trim panel Glove box Key cylinder and key. Slider Glass door window ( has any one installed a noncontoured Generic RV style venting window in that spot? Thanks, Everyone ! I am hoping to contribute all my Energy and idea's to this community It feels a bit sleepy on here from time to time but stick with me, and I'll stick with you guys! :)
