From the album: Interior mods little by little ...
Stereo plug Base model -
nv stereo.pdf Here is 1 schematic , Look in my gallery for the plug details and my notes on the dash , I had to cheat the system to get all the info onto this site .... Have fun with it ! Glenn

I installed a C R lawence (sp?) Window in the slider on my van . You just carefully cut the sheet metal along the factory panel frame , and remove the door handle trim . I had to trim my opening a bit extra because the glass wasn't perfectly square on the glued on frame , To have the window fit flush as it should . Trim door handle cover a little bit and reinstall . One of the best mods I've made to my van , the increase in visibility outward is PRICELESS !!! Been about a year now , and still no leaks or rattles , and it rains ALOT where I live !!! Still love this van ! Glenn

My passenger warning light comes on every time I start the van , passenger strapped in or not ... If they don't buckle up it stays on , I believe it is the self testing logic for the airbag system ... But I was wrong once before , so it could happen again ! :) Glenn

I used the 3 person bench , and I made matching backup plates out of 1/8 plate to sandwich the floor , instead of fender washers .... But I was bored at work and had the materials laying about . :) Glenn

When I was looking at the NV200 a few months ago , The salesman was checking out the mods to the inside of my 1500s (rear seat , trim , etc...) And we got to talking , he mentioned that Nissan was deleting the MPG indicator on the '13 models . Due to customer complaints about ' my buddies gets better mileage than mine !!! ' I think the logic used in Nissans mpg monitor system is silly ....it appears to sample based on time , not distance ? or both ? I had a Suzuki SX4 hatchback and it's monitor's logic was cool , You could monitor realtime instant mpg , or the average mpg since the last reset. And have you scrolled thru the display settings ? You can choose what is displayed , look in your owners manual for the instructions . Glenn

And in the NV , Me and one of my boys can still sleep comfortably in the back without removing the seat ! I love the room in this economical van/camper/daily driver !!! Glenn

Go to the GM. of the dealer next , If that doesn't work contact nissan directly yourself . And document every conversation and action taken , 'cause if there is trash under the paint , it will be a problem in the future . and you have to show that they attempted to take care of the issue earlier ! 2012 NV2500 Cargo High Roof
axulsuv replied to fireblade31003's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
If you put E-track on the floor , be careful drilling on the drivers side , watchout for the fuel pump and lines on top of the tank !!!! There is plenty of room to do it , ya just gotta look and feel between the tank and body first ... And a stop on your drill bit is a good idea too !!! Glenn -
Get a 1500 and you'll be able to haul full sheets of drywall with no issues . To a point , aka weight !

I installed a 2nd row bench from a crashed E-350 , used the OE Ford quick release brackets and just drilled and bolted them in .Had to be able to strap my kids in ! :) There are some pictures in the albums on here of the seat ... Glenn

If my memory works , it is just held in with plastic clips , Think it will pull straight up ,Carefully ... Glenn

I added the 2 missing , but pre-wired roof lamps to my 1500s . just screwed them in and plugged them up . got them from FactoryNissanParts.com . Glenn

When I first got my 1500s low roof it was definitely "boom box" . Since then I've added factory interior panels and clips with plain old fiberglass insulation behind them . I got all the oe stuff from FactoryNissanParts.com . As to the roof on mine , I used a few rolls of the foil backed bubble wrap type insulation you can get at Lowes or the Home Depot and some contact cement and glued it up between the roof beams with 3m contact cement . With the intent of covering it with some thin homemade panels for a headliner .... I haven't got around to finishing the ceiling yet and the silver rooftop doesn't look that bad ... But the point is these few small things completely changed the noise level inside the the van :) You can still here the rain in a downpour , but instead of the loud tinny tapping on sheet metal it has turned down to a muted thud , if that makes sense ... And the change in interior temp is worth it too , I can park it in the sun after driving it on one of our 100 degree 98% humidity days around here , go grocery shopping or whatever , and come back to the van in a few hours , open the back doors to load it and get a waif of cool air coming out of it when i open the doors . The fuel door and fill pipe ....
-
So ... is this for NSA surveillance , or a small rocket launcher ? or just a portable stripper pole ? Just had to ask :)
-
Fuel tank is on drivers side ... May be a little room in front of it , but not much . Exhaust runs down pass. side , maybe above that with a thin long tank ? Glenn
-
The floor mat is in mine so all measurements are close not exact .... 1=18 , 2=38 , 3= 58 , 4=34 , all in inches . Hope this helps with your project / idea , but If I were you , I'd go to a dealer and measure one in person before committing to any purchase for your needs ! :) They are GREAT trucks though . Glenn

I'd make sure all the attachments points are tight and that the adjuster mech. is secure to the seat base , Elec. or manual seat ? Failing that get it to your dealer to have them check it out , A loose seat can be very dangerous !!! Glenn

Get your E-mail to me and I'll send the info I have , The pdf is too large to attach here ...! Glenn

Memorial Day weekend I took a little vacation , Me my four trials bikes , my triton aluminum trailer and camping gear for a total of about 3000lbs . 1000 mile round trip , ethanol free 93 fillup to start , and 89 for the rest . My average fuel consumption for the trip was 19.6 , by paper and pencil and the computer .... I didn't go much above 70 , but didn't get in anybodys way either . K&N air filter , Mobil 1 0w 30 oil , cruise control on flatlands .... I love this van !!!! Glenn oh yeah , V6 1500 low roof
