And next to Porche , they are the most trouble free new car you can buy ... (So say the tabloids ...) And so far (100 miles on the clock) I'm impressed with build and performance ... May get another NV when $$$ permits , but this move saved me about $350 a month in expenses ...., Just gotta put a hitch on the soul so I can haul my bike trailer ... :)

VW's are notorious for coolant temp sensors , get it replaced , it will send erroneous signal to ecu & gauge , make the ecu think the motor is doing something it's not , and can lead to other issue's. 'Just say'in ! :) Glenn

As a old school mechanic and racer , Nitrogen belongs in track cars ... It was introduced into the consumer market because of tpms sensors. pure nitrogen doesn't expand or contract much, if any with hot & cold , So your tpms doesn't come on , on cold mornings . Alot of the early tpms systems would lite up with a 3-5 psi drop .newer ones have a bit more range . I've been running plain old air in mine since new , checking psi COLD biweekly , and at 73k , Im still waiting for my tires to wear out ... Nascar uses pure nitrogen to control the tires shape and deflection , when you hear the comments about the tires getting getting to temp etc. , they are referring to the contact patch temp , those tires get quite sticky @ race temp .If your gonna run nitrogen in your tires , set them about 5 psi above the sticker rating to get the same wear , not slightly under-inflated wear. If the manufacturer figured the loads and psi for nitro , they would come with it from the factory ... Just my 2 pence ., and someone is making BANK because of tpms systems & nitro ! Consumers ain't what they used to be , Most folks 20 yrs.ago checked their tires at least every other fillup , But big brother is watching out for us now ............................... Glenn.

Looking at the roof from the inside on my low roof cargo , I wouldn't walk directly on the roof . Dents and possibly seam splitting ... But i think with a rack and walkway as above you may be ok . The positioning of the rack mounts looks like it would place the load onto the sides of the van . If I were you , I'd go look at a bare bones cargo like mine so you can get a better mental picture of how the roof is made and supported. Bring a camera , notepad and a tape measure with you for reference ... And I think your creative enough to pull it off with a little deep thought ... Maybe a aluminum loading ramp for a walkway with some floating supports to the cross beams ??? Close your eyes and you'll see it ...!!!! Glenn

I'd have to say the first place I'd look would be the power supply to the IPDM , ( the fuse block behind the battery . ). But without a wiring diagram in front of me , all I can add is look at the pos. battery terminal , big lead goes to starter , and the smaller ones feed the subsystems. And check the always overlooked ground points and connectors ... Good luck , Glenn

Don't all the Nv's use the same rear end ? , except for gear ratio's ? And if one of those would work , it could be installed in a couple hours , without removing the carrier from the housing , just get out the jackstands , slide the axles out a inch or two and yank the cross pin and spiders .... May be worth a phone call or two to find out ! But for you guys that tow some weight , a Detroit , grizzly or a zip locker may be a better choice , And I'd be willling to bet the GKN piece is only available from Nissan as a complete unit , so gonna be quite pricey !!! If you've got yourself a cargo van there are loads of 6 or 8 mm bolt holes all throughout the interior and tie down anchors already in the floor. But if you got a NVP you should go to a nissan dealer with a camera and take some notes and pictures of the mounting points in a cargo for reference , and then carefully look behind the upholstery in yours and see if they are there ... I suspect they maybe . If they are your problem is solved real easy , just buy the hardware you want and bolt it in . I've got a couple of MOTO-CINCH tie down anchors in my floor for when I go compete by myself and don't bring the bike trailer.Best of luck Glenn

The seat bases may bolt in place of each other , but then you'll have the issue of the seat belt anchors which are part of the seat frame ... It could possibly be done by a good fabrication shop , but I personally don't think it would be worth the effort cost and safety wise ... Maybe look for aftermarket seats that will do the job your after ...?

The last good Mopar product had a 440 six-pack in it .... !!!!

BR ; Use the manual trans feature and downshift your van, use some compression braking to aid in deceleration while it's new . Helps greatly with engine break -in (seating the new high tech low tension rings...) Same thing you do to a fresh 2 stroke . And my riding buds think my van is the greatest thing since sliced bread ... Glenn B) And like Rad said , IT's a REAL TRUCK :)

Hey BR. ; I put the seat in myself , thanks to a totaled E-350 at the shop and my brand new van ... There are some photo's on here somewhere of the same thing only with the seats out of a mazda mpv..., pictures of mine are in my gallery, If I had to do it over again I'd spend some time in a good wrecking yard and poke about for what I wanted , But mine was free ! :) except for about 3 hr's of my time at the shop and the color was right . :) When you find what you want , measure 3 TIMES and drill once . Make sure you measure under the floor , (the 3rd time :) 'cause there is all kinds of plumbing and wire under the floor !!! AND MAKE SURE YOU use a GOOD DRILL BIT STOP !!! Mine had vibrated loose by the 5th hole I drilled thru the floor , and the bit snagged and plunged ... and nicked a fuel line ... on a saturday afternoon . I made a temp repair that didn't leak and spent i don't remember how much to buy the damaged section of OE. pipe along with dropping the tank to replace it . And I have the facility's at my disposal to do such things , but still a pia !!! Take your time ! and do it right .. When I first installed my seat I just used serious fender washers on the under side of the floor , But since the lap belts on my seat are all attached to the seat frame , I have since fired up the plasma cutter and made and installed some 3/16th plate backup plates under the floor ... And seat in , I can still fit 2 twinshock Trials bike in , but if you've got a ktm or some other large thumper , plan seat spacing according ... I didn't worry about that due to my bike trailer. Have fun and learn how to hyper mile and you'll love your van ! Glenn :hat_tip: And screw the undercoating , just set a sprinkler under the van once in a while in the winter , and clean the area in the fenderwells behind the OE mudflaps if you've got them , they trap crappppp, and there it sits ..wet and ugly !

I never even looked at my van or my shop manual , I just gave a educated guess (40 years as a ASE certified master & a nissan master tech ) Based on the location of the described of the described connector ... $hit happens and on new cars it happens everyday , and I'm the one on the bottom looking up ! Hi Braap ; (you must ride 2 stroke :) ) I've got a 1500 low top V6 s ...S is for stripped ! I've had since 2012 and use it for a daily driver and a sleeping spot when I haul my trials bikes around the country competing .( yeah I'm one of those go slow and never put your foot down technical rider kind of guys ...). My V6 has met all of my needs towing a triton aluminum bike trailer w/3 bikes and gear if my kids are with me , or 1 or 2 bikes inside if it's just me . I get low to mid 20's when out on the road either way ... And as a single dad of 3 kids , It is my daily driver too . I've added factory interior panels and insulation , a 2/3rds bench seat w/quick release mounts out of a E-350 (the nvp wasn't out yet when I got mine ) And the best safety feature, a window in the slider ... I average around 18.5 mpg around town . I run a K&N drop in air filter w/ a minor airbox mod (thanks again asddad for that one!) and 0w 20 mobile one .But I firmly believe gas milage in these 6000lb + boxs gets all down to driving style .You've got to learn to let inertia work for you and make sure your alignment is perfect . I run 1/16th. total toe in with all the other angles @ stock specs and @ 72k I'm still waiting for the stock tires to wear out ... Glenn B) And PS. They've got a REAL frame underneath them !!! ASD ; I've got a locally owned Citgo franchise that has eth free premium at 3 of their stations and one sunoco store has it too . Wollip ; Now that reg. prices have dropped , I don't know if it will be cost effective , as I still pay 2.50 + for eth free premium .But the eth free reg. is almost as much here . But i do know my van is happiest with premium... I even run ave. gas in my motorcycles ... :) Glenn And when on the open road , sometimes you gotta take what you can get ...

I use ethanol free premium , no fuel worries and great mpg ... But that is a personal choice I make .

Without looking I'd have to say a crash sensor or temp sensor ....

Did a STUPID thing and did the round trip almost non stop .1012.4 miles ... DUMB ! Filled up when I left , and then again after I unloaded her stuff...44.5 gallons and 1012.4 miles in drizzly weather @ a 63.4 mph average speed (by the display) Netted 22.75 mpg.... I still love my van .... Glenn And my girl couldn't be in a better spot for what she's doing , Room in a beachfront condo From a nice gal and her 2 kids, 400.00 all inclusive 'cept food. 5 miles from the research center by a 35mph road ... Made me feel quite secure when I got to see it all .... :)
