  1. Vht night shades. Black out your own taillights. Works great just follow the directions.
  2. So, I got my headrest monitors, reaview cam upgrad, headlight bulb upgrad, hdmi port, and subwoofer all installed since my last post. everything work good.. not super impressed with the rearview cam or the headlight bulbs still, probably gonna wire up some additional lights that come on with the brights..
  3. Yes I dipped mirrors, bumper, silver door slide as well as lettering in the back. While it was still on the vehicle. Use painters tape and newspaper to mask off. On the emblems make a square about 15 inches and spray emblem and body completely then about 30 minutes later, peel the dip off the body and it will naturally break at the line of the emblems leaving you a crisp clean look.
  4. 20’s. Still look plenty tough. Better in my opinion.
  5. I have a 99 ram 318 and a v8 nvp. Dodge works pretty hard to tow a 5k kubota on trailer... the Nissan would pull the tractor, the dodge, and a van full of kids and gear and it would be a reasonably relaxing drive
  6. #10 socket and small screw driver is all you need to pull the panel off. These are pics showing how I used the stock speaker mounts to mount new pioneer 6.5 in the door.
  7. Took some pics while removing the door panel. Hope this helps someone...
  8. I just finished a decent sized install including a head unit that supports 2 exterior cameras. The stock rear view is laughable so I ordered aftermarket. The day time view is real decent but night view is worse than stock. Anyone swap out their camera and really happy with it? I think I'd like to try a different brand etc... thx
  9. Nothing under the hood. I could see doing the firewall sometime but that seems like it would be a major pain. If you really wanted "lexus" quiet you would pull all panels and carpet and the entire dash and cover every inch. However..... " ain't nobody got time for that"!! No pics at the moment, I'll pull a panel and snap a pic or two to give an idea.
  10. We drove 3hours and 45 min to a little town called st Claire mo. Took 7 hours to get home ( traffic). Thankfully. I just finished my rear entertainment install over the weekend and we kept the kids reasonably occupied the whole time.
  11. Wheels are 20x8 with 0 offset ( had to shim the door). Bridgestone discoverer A.T tires. Don't remember the size. Www.wheelpros.com is where I found the wheels then ordered them through my local shop. 3 washers in each of the lower brackets to get the door to open all the way with a very mild rub. No damage or marks so far. A 10 mm offset or 18 offset with fit easier. FYI. Take note to any aggressive tire that has knobbys that protrude out side of the tread line. Might cost you an extra couple millimeters and not fit. The nitto Tera grapplers 2 would be an example of this. 5 cans of black "plastidip" ( amazon or Lowes/homedepot). About 6-7$ each. 3 cans of plastic dip " glossifier clear) Same price. Watch videos at www.dipyourcar.com for instructions. It is durable and very forgiving. Later can be peeled.
  12. Here is a list of items purchased and installed in order to vastly reduced wind and road noise. I dynamatt all the doors and side panels. I did not mess with the fire wall. This is a sat afternoon project that will take 3-5 hours. dynamat project.... ( all links for amazon) dynamat used x 2 = https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1 panel clips = https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1 removal tool = https://www.amazon.c...ipremoval tool dynamat roller = https://www.amazon.c...=dynamatroller
  13. Soooo. I guess the kc area is going to be cloudy or possibly cloudy. Heading out for st.louis at 6 am tomorrow
  14. Ps. I think the extra width looks great.
  15. 1. I wanted as wide of a sta ce as possible for stability while towing. It may not make a difference but we were looking at a 36ft trailer and I was looking for every advantage... 2. I wanted the "aftermarket" look (in very picky) and I wanted to push the line as much as possible. The owner of my local shop is a good freind and he suggested we order the set and try the fitment of one wheel/tire mounted before mounting the rest. He called the manufacturer and asked them if the fit was wrong, if we could swap for a different wheel. They said yes. And sit it all worked ( just barely) her we are,
  16. Driving A couple hours north to Columbia Missouri to see the show.
  17. Just installed 20's with a zero offset. Had to shim the slider. With no washers it rubbed hard. With 3 washers it "kisses". The door and opens fine. Tire type can change how this fits too. Some of the more aggressive tires have more "bubble" or knobbies on the edge of the sidewall than others and can touch a bit more than others.
  18. Hey all. Bought my 2016 about a month ago, It was a Nissan area rep demo and only had 7k on it. Since then, I have... -dynamatted every door and panel ( not the ceiling or floor but all sides and doors) -dipped the mirrors, grille, handles, bumpers, and emblems. -added Tekonsha p3 brake controller lower right dash - 20in Moto Metal wheels and Bridgestone discoverer tires ( 0 degrees offsett so had to shim the slider with a few washers to fit) Pending install.. ( purchased but haven't put in yet) this weekend - 4 rockville headrest screens - pioneer nex 4200 head unit - upgraded rear view cam - front view camera
  19. dynamat project.... 20. dynamat is easy to do, i bought two boxes off amazon for $65 a piece and still have a couple sheets left over. Ill post a link to the stuff i used.. The panels come off ( just pull) in the cargo/passenger area.. the driver and passenger door you need a #10 socket and a screwdriver and a panel clip puller. You might also buy a pack of extra clips, since one or two will likel break on you. ( Ill post links) so....... I snapped a few pics at the shop today but it rained this afternoon/eve so I will get some better ones out soon..
