Basic Trac Lease Info
MrOlaf replied to Chris_CommercialManager's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
that's a good idea with the bow tie, how did you get that idea? -
I forget, it was negotiated when I purchased the van. When I had them fix it today I believe the full price was 170. I didn't pay anything though as it was under warranty. I keep on having a problem with the glue 3M pads disconnecting from the hood on the outer edges

I took my NV in for the bug guard and they tried selling me a filter. I forget what kind of filter though. I installed a cabin air filter so I assume the only other filter would be the engine air filter right? Their price was like $45

I was about to pull out of my mother in law's drive way when a dodge ram promaster pulled up the the curb and the driver got out and was looking around his vehicle. I decided to ask him how he liked it and was waiting for the typical "it's great, much better than my chevy express etc etc." On the contrary this guy (he didn't own the pro master but it's what his company has given him to drive while he does repairs of some type of machinery in a grocery store) Regardless he pretty much hates this promaster. He mostly complained about the way it handled, he said the ride was ungodly stiff to the point where he is scanning the road ahead of him for potholes to brace for them. The cargo area was mostly empty but it did have racks and a partition so it did have some weight in the back. He also complained of the step in height of the back bumper being too high. Also his last complaint (which I was actually able to see for myself) was in the drivers seat there is very little room between the structure of the drivers chair and the wheel well. Essentially he can not slide his foot out of the vehicle, he literally has to lift his foot about 5 inches to clear this area then step down to the entry step. It looked very awkward and I could see how that could get annoying quickly. This was also his 3rd day with this vehicle.

ill take some better pictures and location pictures when the weather clears up for a bit. It's been snowing every other day so the roof is usually wet or snow covered.

Mc2 maybe that is what I'm smelling. Doesn't smell like pure gas but definitely close to it.

Just got back from the dealer today. They had a rep come in and they said looks like something dripped onto it causing it to bubble, which is not under warranty. They said they could get me an estimate for repair. So there's your answer guys,so much for trying to keep a customer happy

Yeah, I need snow tires. Turns out they cost money though lol
-
I like my NV, that being said I live in north east Pennsylvania and this vehicle sucks so hard in snow. Wish 4x4 was a standard option. If you guys feel my pain I'll start a "go fund me" account and you can give me 10k to get the Quigley 4x4 upgrade lol

I think I actually might have a legitimate issue, I've been noticing recently of a "fuel-like" smell upon starting the vehicle up to warm it up for the kids.

Just to give you guys I heads up, I took my van to the dealership the week of Nov 17th and they took pictures and I also wanted them to get a new adhesive pad for hood protector that seems to always fall off. Anyways, they said they had to give the pictures to "the rep" to have him look at it and make a decision on what to do. Regardless, I just called again today to see what the F**k is taking so long. Seriously, unless being a Rep is a cake job where you only have to come out once month to each dealership in your area then I think I'm trying to be waited out. I bare metal on my roof, this isn't something trivial like the inverter not working or something I will have rust forming soon. Anyways this dealership is really putting a sour taste in my mouth, seems doing service under warranty is something they want to avoid mean while I'm in the market to replace my 2001 Chevy Express work van and this is seriously affecting where I buy from.

I'm wondering if something got messed up, When i drove from pa to to fl I literally didn't even shut the van off to fill up, (using the power inverter to power tvs and dvd stuff for the kids) Anyways, after consistently getting 300 miles until the low fuel light pops on I refilled at a gas station when my tank was only half empty. Upon topping off the tank my fuel range was into the 400's (higher than it ever was) After that now I refill and my range is at 300ish It's like i'm missing 40-60 miles of range. isn't 12ish mpg bad for pure highway?
-
What is your fuel mileage like? I have a 2013 nvp and it used to say about 366 range upon a full refill. Now it says 300 when I fill it up. I was driving for pa to fl and I would get almost exactly 300 miles before my ranged dropped below 66 and the low fuel light would come on. Seems like as of recently I lost some mileage because I drove all highway again and my range was down to 64 (light didn't come on yet). Drove 264 miles refilled 21.805 gallons which equals about 12.10 mpg highway.

Not cops, but people sometimes think I'm a school shuttle.

I was driving by a dealers lot and saw a blue high top NV with side windows on the sliding door. I got excited that it might be the passenger version because i thought the cargo versions didn't have glass on the side. So in other words, is the passenger version now available in high top?

amazon reviews are pretty reliable. After cutting into the body I would seal up the bare metal from the cuts with some paint or clear nail polish or something, just as an added layer of protection against possible corrosion.

That's funny. Never noticed it before

So, I was looking out my second story bedroom window down at my NV and it looked like something was on the roof of my van. I thought it was a leaf so I went down and opened up the side door and peaked over the roof and flicked off the "leaf" only to discover that it wasn't a leaf but a chip of paint that has curled up. I'm having the dealer look at it tomorrow. The vehicle is less than a year old. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that it may have been from bird poop that didn't get cleaned off? If that is the case, I know bird poop is acidic and bad for paint but christ we have gone away on vacation to come back to a rogue bird poop that dried on my wife's dark blue Cadillac and that left like a slight outline in the clear coat or something, this is insane. In the lower left corner where the paint is totally missing is a spot weld. In fact you can see all 4 spot welds in the photo. Am i crazy to think that bird poop (assuming that is what happened) shouldn't strip the paint down to the bare metal?

Hi Guys, New Nissan Commercial Manager
MrOlaf replied to Chris_CommercialManager's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
I have a Nissan NV passenger as a family car and I am considering the cargo for when my current chevy van needs replacement. likes Size Profile Responsive brakes seating customization dislikes/wants I want a Brush guard! AWD or 4x4 option The tire pressure warning reset thing is annoying. I had my tires rotated and now I basically have to visit a dealer to reset this. Option for middle seat instead of console, like the extended bench passenger seat in the new Ram Promaster (for cargo version) bring back the average MPG reading that was taken away in the 2013 model bring back the passenger under seat storage tray mirrors on the visors Economy button (for when you are driving on miles and miles of highway to try to save a little gas) -
Thanks for the reply Jon. I called the PA turnpike and talked to a nice lady that basically asked me how many axles and tires I had and said that the weight isn't that important. Prior to ezpass I would sometimes be classified as class 1 and sometimes class 2 when driving the NV passenger as well as my 2001 dodge ram with 8' bed and dumper box.

Looks great! $8500 seems like a lot in parts and materials, do you have a rough break down of what cost the most? I was thinking of doing something similar and my prices were way lower, I wanna know where I went wrong with my thinking!
-
I just picked up an EZ Pass at AAA. In the pamphlet it says "Not intended for motorcycles or vehicles over 7000 lbs." Has anyone used EZ Pass on their NV passenger? my weight is 9,430 lbs. I wonder if i need a special one.

In all seriousness is Chevrolet/GMC upgrading to a new model yet? Ford has theirs and so does Dodge/RAM That model is so dated, I have a 2001 and it looks nearly identical.
