I think he meant it looked like somebody took off the interior door panel and was messing around inside the actual door. I cant see how bolts would just break on their own unless it was really bound up. I also cant see a bolt just going missing. If this was just off the assembly line then it could have been a totally botched assembly. This sounds like it worked fine for two years and now things are missing or broke.

I had a PM about my rack and he liked my answers and wished they were on this review so I copied and pasted the info over... He was looking at buying one soon. Here is my reply: I still really like my Topper. Best bang for the buck rack I have found. You really need two people to install it, it is big and awkward once assembled on the ground. I used an old blanket on my roof to slide it up and over so we could both grab it on both sides and get it into the brackets. It also takes some weird sized drill bit for the mounts. I cant recall the size but I found something that worked fine in my tools. Only have two complaints and it is true of most racks. 1 - Wind noise is INSANE when you just have the rack alone. Anything above 30 mph made a large oscillating hum that was very loud. I wrapped heavy nylon rope around the front bar in a open spiral and that cut the noise by at least 75-80%. You can still hear it if you listen but it isnt bad at all now. Rope trick is an old fix from Yakima rack days. 2 - my MPG dropped. This is true of most any roof rack though. I lost around 1/2 mpg consistently. Between the rack and my AT tires I lost 1 mpg. It's barely a drop but it is a drop and I put on 20-25K miles per year. Keep in mind you have one shot to install, you have to drill out the rails to mount it. You cant just slide it forward and back so take your time lining it up where you want it. The back rail hangs off the rear which is nice, you can lay things against it to push up onto the rack without it hitting the roof.

Nothing Nissan other than my van key! Van key, house key, Princeton Tec flashlight, Spyderco Ladybug, and a copper bar with my kids names engraved on it. If I get bored I will swap out the light and knife now and then.

There isnt enough of a difference to worry about. You're talking a 1" difference in tire diameter. At 30 MPH the difference is 1 MPH, 60 would be 2, etc. Even going 80 mph with the original 70 aspect ratio tire only equates to 82.6 mph with the 75 aspect. Over an entire mile you'll get 22 less total revolutions with the bigger tires. I would wager there is more built in +/- tolerance to the system than the difference you'll see in real life. Speedometers are almost always slow to begin with, you can check with a GPS. If anything this may make things more accurate!

Welcome to the site! Titan running boards will not just bolt up. There are a few companies that make boards for ours and others have modified others to fit. If you want something beefy and non-slip when your muddy from riding check out the Luverne Grip Step. Cant help on the undercoating... Make sure to check your rear mud flaps though, they have a poor design with an opening up top. It will trap water, dirt, muck, salt, etc. You can drill a drain hole at the bottom or mod in other ways you see fit.

OK radin2son, I finally dug out a photo from a recent trip. I dont take many of my NV when camping! I have two 10', 3 person fishing kayaks on my roof along with 1 kids kayak. Our TH is behind us. Rack is the Topper galvanized steel with two wider bars added so I can carry all the boats. I have two Malone folding J racks on the wider bars and the other boat sits flat in the middle. The fishing kayaks are super wide for stability, I could easily fit a touring or whitewater boats.

It is possible one sensor went bad or a plug came loose. I think if one sensor goes down it sends a fault for all of them. Not exactly sure how you would test each one though! They are also not cheap and normally sold in sets. You have lots of aftermarket radio options and there are adapters available to use the factory camera. Hopefully the owners who have swapped head units will pop in to offer their advise and models they used. If not just post up a new thread asking for a new head unit suggestion in that forum and they should answer. If you do the swap yourself the dash can be tricky to remove and replace but if you take your time it is not too difficult. Buy a cheap set of panel removal tools and it will really help.

Do you have a front license plate? Many on here complained that tripped the sensors up. I think one took the bracket that holds the plate off and bolted flat against his bumper and that fixed his issue with the beeps. Other than that it has been a recurring complaint that pops up with no known easy fix. I went through two head units on my 2015... first one shut itself off randomly or rebooted. Second one had a crazy lightshow going on a lot and also froze up. I had to take a video of both to show the dealer but they replaced them with no other questions. These were both the top Nav units. New one has been good for the past few months.

My 2nd and 3rd row lights are finicky but they do work. The switch has to be in position just right for them to work. You dont list a year or mileage, is your NV under warranty?

Wow, you really need a better hobby vs. trolling forums. As I am 99% sure, you still do not own a NV and you have never looked at the 5.6 motors airbox and lastly you still have not read a single word about the mod. Most of your forum posts are bashing other brands and talking about theories based purely off book science vs. real world like factoring drag coefficient into MPG claims when 90% of the real world results you see will be based on your right foot on the right pedal. Sure you can get the slipperiest vehicle out there or you can even tweak the NV. Once guy on here filled in the gaps on the bumper and did some other aero mods to make it more slippery and they helped him tweak the best MPG he could. You can do all the tweaking you want, your right foot will still control most of your gains or losses in day to day driving. Let me make some things about this mod crystal clear for you... 1) The airbox mod is FREE, I am not selling anything and it shows me that you still have not read a word about the mod or the post. 2) The mod has been around since I think 2004 when the Titan came out. Yes, a whole 13 years of the same mod being done. 3) I take Zero/Zip/NO credit for the Free modification done to the airbox. It was around long before I ever considered a Nissan van or truck. 4) If you ever decide to read what the mod does you may understand things a little better but let me break it down for you... A) There is a trumpet shaped snorkel inside the box. That trumpet is there for one reason only - NVH reasons. That has been confirmed by more than one Nissan tech. B- The mod does nothing to change the ability of the box to pull in cool air. You are not removing the entire snorkel. You are removing the trumpet. The airbox is still connected to the pipe pulling in cooler air from outside of the engine compartment. C) Why? If you owned one or read the mod you would know that with the trumpet in it directs all the air to one strip of the air filter. If you live in a dusty environment or you just wait long enough to show dirt on the filter you would see that a 1-2" strip of the filter is highly dirty (where the trumpet exits) and the rest if the filter is clean. That is not efficiently using the air filter. D) Removing the trumpet simply makes the box more efficient and adds a minuscule amount of volume. That is IT!! As for tests, that is up to you look up, you love research and numbers from other sites. There are several large Titan forums and a couple Armada forums and as I said, they started this and they have done this for 13 years and they have Measured test results. I am talking about MAF readings, pressure readings and actual dyno readings. Are you going to see big gains? Nope. Add in a second mod that draws in cold air from the grill then yes, you will see measurable HP/TQ results on a dyno. Lastly - you claim there is little to do to increase Performance on a OEM EFI motor. If you are talking MPG, you are correct. Todays vehicles are very well tweaked to get the best MPG they can, even high performance cars. If you are insinuating there are no tweaks to increase Horsepower or Torque then you are grossly mistaken. Without even getting into forced induction there are so many mods you can do to increase actual power and torque they are too numerous to mention. Your MPG may tank but we're talking performance...

The trailer running lights are not on when you turn on your headlights or parking lights on the van? That is weird. I assume you already checked the 7 way pin for 12v with the lights on. I found some threads but they are for the previous gen Titan/Armada. Do you even own a NV yet or are you still researching these to death? If you did and you removed the air box lid you would understand that both of your statements are incorrect. You've had some really odd posts with engineering from a distance statements. I get to deal with engineers daily in my job and many in your profession drive me nuts, they go off books and not real world. This mod has been around over a decade and has actual measured test results to back it up, not just seat of the pants or wishful thinking. Again - if you read the directions for the mod and if you were to look at the air box in the non brand new 5.6 Nissan motors then you would understand that both of your statements hold zero validity for the mod.

I see you also got the gravity defying option on your NVP! Looks to be a popular pick on this forum!!

Welcome to the site shickey! How long have you had your NVP? Nice to hear the report from your friend that these can go 400k miles! I know there is a commercial dealer on here that has had vans come in with 300k on them and they were fine.

What is the offset and width of the rims? That will help with future members looking for tire/wheel fitment.

Not a problem, I know how tough it is finding good tires! That Y356 is sold many places so shop around. As long as the load meets your needs and the ride height isn't changed too much going with a smaller tire you should be good. 15" rims normally fit if you go with a smaller tire, it's only 1/2" per side increase. The trick can be finding a smaller 15" that has the high load rating needed.
