  1. Town center Nissan. We tried to buy the van through them but we ended up driving to Hendersonville NC to Hunter Nissan. Much better overall experience. Unless it's warranty work I won't be going back to Town Center.
  2. Someone on here used LED lights in some lights and it was a huge difference.
  3. I have a company has card(granted I own the company) so it's a write-off anyway. I just filled up last week, so I'll see how it does after a few tanks.
  4. The place next door to us is our standard mechanic. They do all of our repairs and maintenance on our other vehicles. I drop the car off and walk to work. Oh, I forgot, I made an appointment at Nissan. The first Nissan dealer I made an appointment at didn't work on the NV. The second one did, but clearly an appointment means nothing.
  5. I went in for my first oil change the other day and I won't be going back. It shouldn't take 1.5 hours. I wasted over 2 hours of my day to save $35(what the shop next to my office charges). It was miserable, it literally took 20 minutes for them to move my car from the service line. And I have never seen employees walk so slow. Don't put the slowest moving employee right in front of the main window to the waiting room.
  6. The manual does say the less the better and don't use e-15 or e-85. I am personally anti ethanol since it kills engines faster. Most landscapers avoid the stuff because of what it does to 2 cycle engines.
  7. The NV is hard to beat on price. They need a few more options to really compete with some of the other vehicles out there. A sliding door is a big one. I see more now than I did 6 months ago, I think the popularity will continue to grow, especially with the warranty.
  8. The station down the road is now selling this, has anyone else tried it? Nissan recommends it in the manual. I am wondering if it will help with mileage.
  9. Also, isn't there a guy out there getting like 8 mpg? And another one getting around 23? We fall into the 11 city and 16 hwy. We are a low top and I sometimes have a lead foot.
  10. I'm 99% certain it's the parking sensors.
  11. That's fine, the commercial dealer by me took over 1.5 hours to change oil and rotate the tires. They also missed the valve stems caps on 2 of the tires. Next time I'm just going to pay for an oil change. The free maintenance isn't worth it to me.
  12. We looked at a DVD player, but tablets make more sense...No DVDs that get scratched. With Amazon and Netflix you can download movies and shows and you can use them outside of the car. And it's less work than installing a DVD player.
  13. I would look into the 2017s for sure. Gas mileage in the 5 speed transmission is poor at best. That is the one thing I wish was better, that and a few other minor things.
  14. That's crazy honestly, I am surprised it covered that tow. Glad to know it did.
  15. I had that happen yesterday in stop and go traffic, but nobody was close enough to set the sensors off. And it only beeped once each time.
  16. Honestly those fuel cleaners are a waste of money. The only one I will trust is BG44K. I have a classic car mechanic friend that swears by them and BMW uses it in their bikes and the no longer have to walnut shell blast the valves. I ran it every 10,000 miles in my Camry and every oil change in the MG. On older cars you check engine light may pop on.
  17. There was a technical service bulletin going around about cars that burn excessive oil. Nissan didn't make the list, but that doesn't mean it could be the culprit. It may be a bad sensor or something wasn't reset at the last oil change. I'd like to hear what comes out of this.
  18. What kind of mileage do you v-6 folks get?
  19. I get that problem occasionally. It's annoying for sure. I really haven't had a chance to look at it and fix it.
  20. Nothing...There are no other vans like the NV. Towing was the main reason we went with the NV, that and rear air. It's a beast, a big square, sexy beast.
  21. We found the same thing, used just wasn't worth it. You chew through the warranty just to save a couple grand. Not to mention the tires are half worn out and your past the 2 years free maintenance.
  22. While it shouldn't have happened, I doubt anything will come from your complaint. Manufacturing defects happen. I've ordered plenty of equipment over the years that have had one bad part or another. Nissan won't jump through hoops over a single instance, it's going to take a lot of these failing for them to take notice, and rightfully so.
  23. After the first long road trip it confirmed we made the right choice in an NV. With 3 kids all in car seats or boosters and lots of luggage and cargo it would have been insanely tight in the sienna. I am also impressed with the front seats, I can drive further in this car than any other one without stopping.
  24. Funny request, but how about a mirror on at least the passenger side visor. A flip down change holder(like the ashtrays of old) over by the side mirror controls. Auto-on headlights like Toyota. I really like not having to turn them off all the time. Also, auto up and down on the front windows. Running boards standard. These are all minor things honestly. They are already improving MPG on the new model, so I didn't bother with that.
  25. We go ours for $35,600. The local dealership here wouldn't budge on their price of $39k. We ended up driving up to Asheville to buy this one. On the way up there our local dealership offered to match the price. We weren't about to turn around. The other dealership already did the paperwork and finance approval, which by the way was great. We knew we wanted a the Java SL, so when this one popped up at the price it did we called the dealership and worked out the financing and everything so we literally sat in the dealership for 20-30 minutes and signed the paperwork and turned over the trade-in. It was really nice to have the whole thing done before we got there.
