. I want to add a 1500 -2000w 12V DC to 120V AC inverter, has anyone found a reliable one that has lasted and liked? It doesn't have to be a true sine wave model, a modified sine wave will work. I have done a lot of research and it seems most all have good and bad reviews, none that seem to have most all good ones. Let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks. .

I actually purchased and installed the kit. The shipping was $300, but they gave me a good price on the kit. I have good and bad things to say about the kit: PROS: The material for the sides (I choose the grey, cheaper and matches the stock interior pieces) is thick and durable. The right side fit good with minimal trimming, which I would expect, not all vans are going to be exactly the same, so having the ends and top slightly long allowed me to trim it so it fit well. the material trims with sheet metal snips easily. I filed the edges smooth and straight. The panels come with a insulation strip on them, but have enough room to add more if you want. CONS: The left side didn't fit at all in the rear. There was no provision for the grab handle, 120v outlet or the wire loom running down the corner. It is like they totally forgot to include any of those three features in the tooling die. Not having a channel for the wire loom to fit into was the worse because it pushed the panel about an inch towards the front causing it to not fit correctly. I figured out I only had two choices (since I couldn't ship it back and the company had no ideas, more on that later), cut out a strip of material and let the wire loom come through (which would make the corner weak and look terrible) or some how heat up the plastic material and press in a channel for the wire loom to set into. I choose one weekend to use a heat gun and inch by inch create a channel. It doesn't look professional, but worked. I then had to fix the other two problems, one there being no provision for the grab handle and cutout to access the 120v outlet. Those two weren't so bad, drilling two holes for the grab handle and one larger one for the outlet. But since there was not a provision for these, the panel was about 1.5" out from the sidewall (there should have been a step in the tooling to move the panel in the 1.5") so I had to make spacers to bring the grab handle out past the panel and you have to reach in to use the outlet. If Photobucket hadn't messed with my account (and everyone elses by making them pay to post pictures on forums) I could post some pictures, I'll have to figure another way. The two top end pieces are also molded opposite to what they should be because the texturing in on the wrong side (inside when installed) and has the smooth side out which doesn't match the side walls. it also makes the grey color on the wrong side, so I had to spray paint them grey to match the sidewalls. When I contacted Bodyguard they said they were unaware of my fit problems as I must have some new options that the other vans didn't. They said they sold many of them and didn't have anyone else mention my complaints. I told them all the vans no matter what model had the grab handle wire loom and outlet. I said I had spent many hours making the left side fit and wanted some money back, but I never heard from them again.

Jerry, are you willing to sell the rows separate or only as a set? I would be interested in just the row behind the driver (I guess that would be the second row) depending on the price and shipping. .

. Yes, there is a plug casing on the engine compartment side, but there are no metal terminals in it to add wires to. Also, the other side of the plug assembly with the wires in it, is not "live", meaning they are not powered, They are only the engine compartment side of the wires that go thru the firewall to the cab. If you look on the cab side, the same two wires go to a different style plug and there is no female plug in that connector for you to use. The terminals are large 3/8" ones that are hard to find, although I did find them. You have to bring a hot "+" wire from the battery (with a fuse) to that supplied connector and add the 3/8" terminal. When you plug those two back together, you will now have a hot "+" wire on the inside of the cab to use however you want. .

I never found any mating plug connectors, so I found some large 3/8" female spade wire terminals and made it fit the provided dummie connector that comes provided on the engine compartment side and then just used the same female wire terminal on the inside cab side. I only used the positive wire, I didn't use the negative wire because I just grounded to the chassis when needed. I ran the positive wire to the rear of the driver's side to this fused panel. It is connected to (4) added interior LED lights and provides the two lighter sockets, plus three more switched fused circuits for the future. .

I might be interested in (1) double seat, can you send me a picture? Please send to: randucci1@comcast.net Would I be able to purchase the in floor mounts also? Thanks.

. I would be interested in a couple pictures also. Did you use an isolator for the second battery? .

I just purchased a new 2016 NV2500 SV with the V8, I was told because it was the SV model and a V8, the tow hitch and the heated tow mirrors were included (I wasn't charged for them), I also got the Tech package, it was $32,500.

I just put on some new Nitto A/T Terra Grappler G2, LT265/70 - 17 tires and Helo HE879, 9.0" wide X +18mm offset, last weekend. I haven't drove the much yet, so I can only give feedback on first impressions and I like them so far. The tires are a little more aggressive than the stock Firestones, but are not really anymore noisy at 65 - 70mph. As you can see in the pictures, they clear the open slider by about 3/4" and to not rub anywhere. They barely stick out past the fender, but it is really just the sidewall. I didn't like how inside the back wheel wells they were painted white, so I took off the back tires and sprayed some black 3M rubberized undercoating in there so that the back and front wheels would match. I am hoping it cuts down the noise a little too. .

I just purchased my NV2500 two weeks ago, so I'm just getting started. I think part of the non participation is a lot less people now days don't do their own work. People are surprised when I tell them I do all my own work on my vehicles, I can't see paying someone else $150hr for something I can do. Also, many of the mods I do on my vehicles are things you can't buy, custom fabrication, electrical, etc., I'll post them as they happen.

Did you ever figure out how to remove it? I am thinking about putting some lights behind mine.

I looked at all the manuals, Page 129 didn't show plug numbers on any of them, maybe the manual changed? I have looked every where for the interfacing male plugs to use the Pre-wire harness. The local dealer didn't even know they were there! Anyone have the part numbers for the two 50A two wire plugs and the two 10A four wire plugs? Thanks.

Just wondering if rear wheel well liners available for the NV2500? Mine didn't come with them and I would like to cut down on the rock noise if they are available. Are they on the Passenger versions? I would think if they were, they would fit.

Anyone else wish the column shifter arm was about 2 -3" shorter? It just seems unnecessarily long plus in the way of adjusting the fan and taking drinks out of the left drink holder. Has anyone looked into shortening it?

Where to find upfitter connector
Randucci replied to Ryan Stotts's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Well, that is interesting, I didn't check to see if there was power to them, I guess I shouldn't have assumed there was, but was just thinking that if the manual referenced them as uplifts, they would have power to them. I have a couple of places to check on connectors, I'll post if I find some. -

. Have you looked for and found a source for the mating plugs to make a clean way of using these pre-wired locations? On Page 168 it shows two locations in the engine compartment to tap into. They would be handy ones to use for adding Aux lighting (fog lamps, driving lights, etc), it would be nice to find the female plugs for them also.
