The above is pretty much what the manual recommends. Price what the closest Nissan Commercial dealer will charge and compare it to Fleetworks. I had similar dealer service done at 90k for $1110. This also included replacing the drive belt given what desert heat (117*) does, plus I didn’t want to be stranded far away from LAF and his tool box/trailer. Are there still commercial dealerships?

Didn’t pay much attention to the $20k you paid. Seems low, so hope you looked at carfax and had a mechanic check it out, nice family or not. If all is good, great deal.

You should be able to drive this a long time. If you don’t have or know the service history, checking/changing fluids as recommended in the manual or by Fleetworks is a good idea. Some of the labor cost is already in the $800.

Should have added this earlier. Probably converted in Fresno, CA. Only 30 high and standard tops built according to then owner of SMB Fresno. Currently SMB Phoenix.

Not my van, but Sportsmobile Texas has one for sale for $81,500. V8 with72,000 miles. Located in Hudson Valley, NY. Wonder if it will show up on this site? Basically stock like ours. If interested in this van and want a second opinion, PM me.

Wow! Never seen a build like this with so many slide outs and multiple use surfaces. Definitely time to get out. Let us know how it all works out and where you take your van.

You may want to check VW Vanagan forums. I doubt Colorado Camper or Sportsmobile would given the difference in design. Unless they sub it out… Best bet is to move to socal.

A Sportsmobile NV 2500 standard top conversion adds about 1000 lbs (6917 lbs) to the stock cargo van (5996 lbs). It is parked level with 30 gallons of water plus some gear we normally take. Rear arch measurement is 34 1/4”. Added RB/50N floor plan photo. 20 gallon water tank under couch. House batteries mounted to frame under side entrance step. Aldo added photo of pop top… No noticeable sag.

I’m not sure what to do with this info as in no one drives around in an empty van. Plus, Nissan most likely accounted for “sag” when loaded. So, what is the rear arch number when fully loaded to spec? New shocks? Sure. Anything else? Not so sure.

The rubber coated “buildout” step on our NV wore down to the wood years ago and I used bed liner paint to coat it. Showing a little wear but not enough to repaint. Expensive can of paint. Spay on is available.

OWL VANS, “the world’s #1 gear carriers for your off road camper van.” NVs not included in listed vans. Worth a look. “Origin” video mentions another fabricator, Canyon Vans owlvans.com Sportsmobile forum mentioned OWL in a post about a problem with plastic hinges on new Aluminess boxes. Aluminess was bought by Bestop (Jeep aftermarket).

Great looking bumper and tire mount. Where do you plan to put the license plate? Move the existing camera and wiring to the same place.

Best bet is to go to Titan forum by googling 2005-16 Titan evap codes. There is a Nissan Titan TSB bulletin for P0448. There may be other evap TSBs as well. Try electrical as well. There are several Titan forums… They are a better resource than NV for engine and transmission issues. The problem with this forum is too few users and reluctance to report ? results. Nothing to do with you being new.

This is the time of year that we see all sorts of vans and rv’s from $200k+ 4x4 Sprinters to $13k 4x4 Mitsubishi Delica. Several of these in the area. New to me was a Black Series off road rv/trailer. It would look great behind the 4x4 NVPs. HQ19 will set you back $58k but there are incentives. blackseries.net

Looked this up. Evap “sucks in a lot of air” and needs an “unavailable” filter. Nissan, other manufacturers and aftermarket not interested in filter solution. More lucrative for dealership to replace parts. Your issues haven’t come up. Mostly complaints about check engine code. Bamps posted a fix.

At 5500’, the weather should be great. Cooler than the nearby low desert.

Back to Bisbee? Not sure there is enough flat ground, but $25 gets you a reserved spot in the church and other parking lots. Worth a day visit, but the point is to be vanlife social. If anyone plans to go, let me know and I can give you info on the area. A good place to start is Coronado National Forest.
