I heard to open the right rear and the left front window just slightly to break the suction from a passing semi truck trailer. Learned that trick from the RV dealer yesterday. There is a suction when encountering a large vehicle on the highway that causes the trailer to sway a little.

Spree 329IK pulled by the NV3500. No issues except when trying to back up! -
Thanks HArold. I am definitely going to get a set this spring.

Can't get gps to display when on the bluetooth phone
NoEffinMini4Me replied to RICK's topic in Audio & Navigation
For a DOT sticker here, it would be for a commercial or business use. Does not apply when pulling my vehicle or camping trailer. -
I am always turning the sensors off in the winter or hard rain. I am not complaining, it is just the nature of the technology (ultrasonic sonar)

YOu can get some Rubber grommets off of Amazon or Harbor Freight Tools and with a little gorilla glue, you are all set.

Can't get gps to display when on the bluetooth phone
NoEffinMini4Me replied to RICK's topic in Audio & Navigation
The microphone is so far away that while driving on the highway, the noise is too much for people I am talking to. I do not use the BT any longer and upgraded my old Jabra BT to the tried and true Plantronics Voyager legend. It is large, but has excellent noise rejection. It also has the annoying habit of trying to take over the BT connection with another BT device already in use. -
Follow up on the listing. The guy said the NV3500 should have been listed and is updating the listing.

Upgrade firmware on Audio/Nav unit?
NoEffinMini4Me replied to jimgoings's topic in Audio & Navigation
Having the nav is nice vs using a phone, but most of the radio features suck. I dislike that i cannot completely turn it off. I hate the display at night, as it ruins my night vision. -
I sent the guy a email. I am not sure why the NV3500 is not listed as compatible.

NV Cargo owners, what made you choose?
NoEffinMini4Me replied to MrOlaf's topic in Lounge - Nissan NV
I agree. Get some nice wheels/ tires for the summer and use the factory wheels for some Blizzak SnowTires for the winter. That is my plan this summer. -
Dumped the Sprinter for a NV 3500 high roof cargo
NoEffinMini4Me replied to RICK's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
Hi Rick, Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Van. I am up to 21K now on a 2013 with no issues that left me stranded. To have a Sprinter as a work vehicle and receive that level of maintenance is not good. Hope your new van treats you better. All the sprinters here in michigan are rusted after just a few years. I think they became popular because they were the only vehicle that size with a diesel engine. -
Husky told me the NV200 floor liners will be out soon, but no news on the NV1500-3500.

Yep. Mine take both hands to pull out.

Yes, Weathertech did start making Floor liners for the NV. I have had them on order since September. One of my Reps also handles Weathertech products. Unfortunately, the NV is a low production vehicle and the liners are on backorder. My guess is some dealers got the first run. They still do not show on the website. All of us need to hit up Weathertech on Twitter and Facebook to get some response.

New NVP SL in Michigan
NoEffinMini4Me replied to andy_george's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
Hi Andy, Welcome to the forum. I am in west Michigan and have done the worst winter in years (last year_) with just the firestone tires and got along fine. My wife has Blizzak Tires for winter on her van. Those are the best tires I have used in the winter. My summer car uses the continetal tires. ExtremeContact DW A couple of changes are going to be made this spring to the Van that you elaborated on: A dash switch for the rear lights (and change to LED) A dash switcht that kills the radio completely. The display is annoying while driving in the dark Get used to the winter ice on the bumper setting off the proximity alert system. 4 boys and a big dog take up the interior when it is not being used to haul my tools and stuff. Cheers! -
Mine is peeling too. Makes me sad. I was going to cover it in Plasti dip anyway, because it is not worth the trouble to take it to the dealership. I wonder if some social media posts to NISSAN USA would get some action? I have two Nissan vehicles currently and the paint is another problem. It is so thin and easily chipped. Adding a 3M paint shield is the way to go if your front hood and fenders are still in good shape. I need to get mine repaired, smoothed and cured and then I will add the shield.

MY kids think the idea of entering through the back is cool. I will probably add a step to the rear hitch. Which one is the best? Tatunka, What kind of running boards do you have? -
Dont worry, Just replace with a new magnetic drain plug and new crush washer the next time. I have one of these on my 370Z and the next oil change will be with a new magnetic one for the NV SL. http://nissanraceshop.com/product/greddy-magnetic-oil-drain-plug/?gclid=CKvw19CU38ICFYgAaQodGRcAfw

Good deal depending on the condition of the body, tires, etc.

I did not use the invertors, but I used to have a direct account with Tripplite and sold their UPS and surge protection units, along with network controlled outlets. Anything that had a power cord died. 100%. Took me 4 years to learn my lesson. YMMV.
