  1. Did the Van get sold to a salvage company? Were you able to buy it from the insurance company? I could use parts , like door hinges, back up sensors, rear bumper, etc.
  2. I have been driving one around since the end of 2013.
  3. Shim the side door sensor. The most likely suspect. You can remove the switch for a little while first to confirm.
  4. Alright. My wife and I are going to get new vehicles this year. I am interested in another NV3500, but what else is out there to compare it to? Not sure what the wife is going to get yet. We are on our third minivan because of the kids. just turned 50K last week. It has been enjoyable.
  5. I no longer pull the camper because we now have a seasonal site. Spree Ultra lite 329. Works great. Even turned off the Trailer brake for a test. Yep. no issues to complain about.
  6. I wish I would put on the 3M when I first got my Van. I am most likely to sell it to get a new one and get it done. The new warranty offering is so much better.
  7. You can get a better one from Amazon for $30 that also has a couple of 5V USB connections. Mount it in the console and wire to the 12 Aux outlet.
  8. Black plastidip paint. Try it on the grill.
  9. Turned out to be brake dust. It will take a lot of polishing to get the spots off. They were up at the 6' level, so I didn't believe they were brake dust. 5 minutes with some compound at the dealer and he go some out. Better than having a repair. The hood, side and back have some chips, so after that is repaired and dried out, I will get it polished and sealed. To anyone listening, get the 3m Paint protector film on the front hood and fenders.
  10. Back door catch on the passenger side broke. Back to the dealer on Monday. 100mi round trip. So another 100 when the part comes in.
  11. I got to get a picture of mine uploaded. The grill looks great. Mine is Chrome. THe bottom one does not fit all that well. Might have to massage it when I have more time.
  12. ASD DAD, I never found in your post that you sat in a different NV drivers seat. What did you find? I just had my Nissan NV3500 SL into Fox Nissan of Grand Rapids. They replaced an airbag sensor that was bad- in a way that made the airbags non functional. Had to sign a waiver to leave after the diagnosis. The Air conditioning went out too. They had the parts in 3 days and scheduled an appointment right away. The vehicle was there for 1.5days. The air conditioning lines leaked and needed to be replaced. They were about 7' long and went all the way to the back AC unit. The gas tank had to be removed to do the job as well. I guess this is a common failure occurrence on the Quest. Overall I was happy with the service and the dealership, but I am nervous when 36K rolls over on the odometer. The vehicle has 29K on it now and I just returned from a nice 2500 mile round trip with the family. The more pressing issue now is the paint. There seems to be orange bleeding spots all over the vehicle that do not wipe off. This looks to be rust from the surface coming out. very small orange dots. The rear hinges have rust in the seams too. We will see how Nissan will handle this one. The paint on my Z is poor quality too.

  15. Ordered. Just waiting for them to arrive.
  16. I am getting rust build up in the rear door hinges. Not sure what to do about it other than let the dealer get at it.
  17. The dealership in Holland, MI is my closest and an hour away. It is hard to get there during the week with all the activities and work. I have a airbag light that has been on for months. :) I am in Muskegon, MI right on the coast of Lake Michigan.Marquette is about 8 hrs away. Way up in the cold country.
  18. I will be traveling to NC in June. I should be in Wilmington, Williams beach, Greensboro, and Charlotte. Nice to see you on the site. Our first long roadtrip with the NV.
  19. Looks good. I cannot wait for the snow to melt and get mine detailed.
  20. Mine is all the way on the left side just above the emergency brake.

    Cool. Thanks for sharing.
  22. I have done only a short haul with this rig so far. Backing up is a real pain. Have not got the weight , nor have I had it loaded up yet. It barely squatted when dropping the trailer tongue on. The equalizer bars were added. The van had no issue pulling or stopping. There is a Primus IQ trailer brake that I added to the NV. This is a walk through of an older model of my trailer. Mine added the LED light package. Prewire for separate bedroom AC and added Skylight in the kitchen, which makes a huge difference. The only thing missing that I wished for was the U shaped dinette. There is more storage in the Spree than the passport, so for our large family, this was ideal. Another selling point was the cathedral ceiling. The space feels much larger than the passport or my current Sandpiper.
  23. I almost forgot about this post. Do you have just roasted almonds available? Looking to go over to Hudsonville to get some honey and then wanted some almonds and pecans for making a Porter beer.
