  1. According to Nissan's specs, there is no room difference between the passenger version and the cargo version (comparing 3500 to 3500). I am not sure if 1500/2500 cargo vans are different.
  2. Welcome and congrats. Ours used to be the only Nissan van in town, but one of our neighbors purchased one. But we still get a lot of stares and questions when we travel. You get used to it.
  3. I assume that you are talking about the two tow hooks right below the front bumper. These hooks are mounted on the frame and they are quite hefty. 300 lbs should be a piece of cake.
  4. Welcome and congrats from Western PA. My wife and I are partial to GSD. Would love to see some pictures (of your van as well as of your dogs).
  5. Welcome to the forum. Post some pictures of your van when you get a chance.

  8. I've had DuraTrac for about one year now. Outstanding winter traction. Very comfortable ride overall (better than stock). Flawless so far.
  9. I got the front mat and passenger mat from Nissan. The front mats are rubber but the rear ones are carpeted. I could not find any that's rubber. For the rear cargo space, I just got some rubber mat and cut it to fit. Items for Nissan van is very difficult to find.
  10. We buy our tires and wheels from Discount Tire. They have excellent prices and their customer service is awesome: https://www.discounttiredirect.com/?pap=t&s_kwcid=AL!3693!3!52375779207!e!!g!!discount%20tire&cid=8fec527b-cd11-4995-b311-5f8deddccaf3&s_kwcid=AL!3693!3!52375779207!e!!g!!discount%20tire&gclid=CPPCw8zB3MQCFdcZgQodP7UAdw
  11. Paint doesn't seem to stick to smooth surface very well. You will have to sand them. Plasti-dip doesn't require any prep work beyond just cleaning them. Personally, I was thinking of blacking out the van. Then after looking at the vast blackness on the van's sides, I decided to keep the few chrome accents that came with the van. I sort of blacked out by getting black wheels (with accents).
  12. Here is the link to what radin2son is talking about. Nissan NVs are built like a tank. http://nissannvforum.com/topic/1365-nv-roll-over-70-mph-is-this-anybody-here/
  13. I am not sure about the quality, but Walmart sells some tips. You may want to try one and see how it looks. They have pretty generous return policy if you don't like it. I thought about putting an exhaust tip, but I thought stainless tip would stick out too much from the rest of the pipe on a black van. After about a year, the stock pipe was beginning to look bad, making the van look older. I just got some high temp black paint and applied to the pipe.
  14. Welcome to the forum. Cool looking ride/house. I always liked nomadic life style. Keep us updated with your adventures.
  15. Welcome to the forum from Western PA. You could start with this thread and see what some NV owners have chosen for their vans. http://nissannvforum.com/topic/1321-wheels-and-tires-that-fit-no-mods-on-2016-nv3500-sl/
  16. Moto Metal MO970, 17x8 with 0 mm offset. I really like your wheel and seriously considered it when I was shopping around for the wheels. I was not brave enough to go with such a low offset, haha.
  17. Apparently they really improved over KOs. Awesome tires, from everything I read about (I almost went with this on my Tundra, but they didn't make one in 295/70/18). The only negative thing I've read was some people found it difficult to balance. Some say they have to try several tires until they found one that balanced. But then again, others have zero issues with this tire and they love it.

    285 70 17

That is pretty large size. This thread may help. http://nissannvforum.com/topic/1590-fingers-crossed-they-fit-lol/ The rubbing for the van occurs with the sliding door. His 285/70/17 does rub, but not enough to not to be able to open the door.
  19. Congrats. Looks great! Talking about pushing the envelop. . . . How hard does the door touch the tire? Is it enough for the paint to rub off (eventually) or is it just a gentle touching?
  20. Unless you go with very wide tires, you should not have any difficulty with rubbing. My wheels are 17x8.5 with 10 mm offset. I have GY DuraTrac 245/75/17 on them. The tires clear the sliding door. My van is not lifted.
  21. Any update? My guess is that you will have some rubbing. But each vehicles are slightly different from another. I am really interested in seeing if this size tires with this size wheels fit.
  22. The only thing I modded recently was my odometer mod. Just hit 10,000 today.
  23. Any pictures of these awesome sounding mods?
