Towing setup for trailer GVWR 5500lbs
trdriver71 replied to DesertTed's topic in Cargo, Hauling & Towing
I have the anderson wdh and i think it is great. Although I don't find it weighs any less than my friends reese wdh with sway control on it the only part that would weigh less is the fact I don't have the bars to deal with. My trailer is a 26' so it is a little larger than yours desertted. one thing you could do is get yourself one of those little wagons from walmart that fold right up like a camping chair. then you only have to lift the hitch on and off and not try to lift it ten times to put it on. https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=folding%20wagon&cat_id=0&typeahead=wagon -
I have a commercial Class 1 licence and I agree that some of the things I have seen on the FB page are a little scary some are really pushing the limits of their NV my little trailer compared to others is a great size for many places including most campsites that can't accommodate trailers more than 28' my trailer is a 26' and well within the towing capacity of my NV. I used to have my LCV licence and could tow 2 53' trailers and could weigh a maximum GVW 140000LBS but of coarse you have to be licenced for a regular tractor trailer for a minimum of 3 years before you can get your LCV licence and have to take other courses as well. I also think it is crazy that some new pickups have a towing capacity of 30000LBS I have seen what happens to a pickup when they have to slam on the brakes and try to control that kind of weight or get into an accident and hit a tractor trailer because they ran a light because they couldn't stop. the pickup truck got bent into a upside down u shape because the trailer kept pushing after they hit the tractor trailer

Maybe they didn't use the takata airbags in the nv that may be why it didn't get recalled.

I had this problem too I thought it was my slider too it turned out to be my rear doors that needed to be adjusted. Did you get your problem fixed. I had to take my van back to the dealer 4 times to get this fixed as they thought the same thing as me that the noise was coming from the sliding door but eventually they had another van with the same problem and they had someone ride in the very back and then they knew what was wrong with mine and fixed it.

Did you get any center caps the ones you posted with those rims on the jeep had center caps on other than that looks great.

Wheels and tires that fit (no mods) on 2016 NV3500 SL

What make and model are those rims I really like them. -
It sounds like you may have the same problem that Dodge and Fords have known as the "Death wobble" or at least the start of it. It sounds like you are on the right track on getting it fixed the next thing i would check out is your front sway bar bushings and see of they are worn. I will post a couple of links about the death wobble and how to fix it and a video on how to fix it. http://www.trucktrend.com/how-to/chassis-suspension/1305dp-curring-death-wobble-tightening-up-your-steering/ https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=ford+f350+death+wobble&qpvt=ford+f350+death+wobble&view=detail&mid=BB0E08CA78992997F2A9BB0E08CA78992997F2A9&FORM=VRDGAR https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=dodge+ram+death+wobble&&view=detail&mid=F8F55D51AA7124B90272F8F55D51AA7124B90272&FORM=VRDGAR

Any body change for Nissan NV Passenger 2018 and 2019 model?
trdriver71 replied to buffguy's topic in Nissan NV 3500 HD
I heard something from the salesman at my dealership is changes are due in 2021 so i would think that is when you will see the longer version and the diesel and i wouldn't be worried about getting it as it has been out for years already and toyota is going to use the exact same engine and transmission in the tundra as well so that should tell you a lot about the engine. -

OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL Nissan parts that fit the NV
trdriver71 replied to fenderfatstrat6's topic in Lounge - Nissan NV
I wouldn't think so garmin keeps everything internal but I found that they have free lifetime map updates and the Nissan one is costly to update so its just better and cheaper just to buy a external type gps. but that is just my feeling on the subject. ymmv. -
Are you looking for a constant power source for the amp? If so I would run a wire right from the battery those things need more power than you would think. How many watts is the amp because you should use at least a 12 gauge wire if it is a small amp. That goes for the ground for the amp too.
-
yeah I'm not surprised they couldn't either hope they find the problem out soon.
-
I think got some good numbers out of it anyway because they put a bigger intercooler and turbo on it and different exhaust but it would be a cool van to have.
-
What are my exhaust upgrade options?
trdriver71 replied to Ridgerunr's topic in Accessories & Modifications
if the bully dog tuner flashes the emc then you should be able to remove it and those changes are still in the ecm right because that what flashing the ecm means that it reprograms the original setting with there not just try to trick the computer that http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-performance-modifications/126337-does-bully-dog-gt-really-work.html#post2335368 https://theshopmag.com/features/do-engine-programmers-really-work-here-s-facts you will notice in this last article it says nothing about flashing the computer. when I watch shows like horsepower tv and they flash the computer it is just something they attach to the car do a download to it and unplug it. -
I think I paid 150 for the dual screen dvd player that just hangs on the headrests and only a 7" screen so 350 doesnt seem so bad and I'm pretty sure I could install it myself as I am pretty good with that stuff, as far as a backup camera I don't miss it as I'm a truck driver so backing up with mirrors isn't nothing new to me I have even parallel parked my van with my trailer behind it.

I was actually referring to the truck 8 bolt patterns for the chevy and dodge and both of them use 17" or larger on their trucks. I have also seen that fram makes a cabin filter for these vans now too. http://www.framfreshbreeze.com/Installation.aspx?yr=2012&me=Nissan&ml=NV3500 -

All I know is that Chevy and Dodge 8 bolt rims fit the NV and your nav the best bet to stay up to date on the maps is to buy something like a garman etc. -
I wonder if it is a problem with the climate control system. I haven't had a problem with mine, but i don't have climate control in my van.
