I'd go for it but shipping from ME to CA...
-
I'd pay more attention to the differential fluid. That has a change interval and is often overlooked.
-
I plan to sell it before the warranty expires, so I couldn't care less if "maintenance free" means "change it every x miles" in somebody's lexicon. I do check the level though.

Cameras—side and rear view on full time when driving
aztec replied to Jim Kistler's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I run a rearview full time. I like it fine. Covers from the bumper to the horizon. It's mounted on my conduit carrier and has a much better perspective than the stock camera for backing up. -
HELP......Rear Left Quarter Panel Power Inverter
aztec replied to 8DeepInTx's topic in Accessories & Modifications
One thing to start with might be a high end deep cycle battery. I got a whole year out of my stock battery before the abuse of charging tool batteries and other devices killed it. Most batteries have a manufacture date on them. Pay attention. I've seen 3 year old batteries on the shelf at Napco. -
HELP......Rear Left Quarter Panel Power Inverter
aztec replied to 8DeepInTx's topic in Accessories & Modifications
You're the expert, but I suspect that heavy wire is for AC. -
On paper, it has two. One integrated into the radiator, and a second, stand alone cooler controlled by a bypass valve for high temp situations.

HELP......Rear Left Quarter Panel Power Inverter
aztec replied to 8DeepInTx's topic in Accessories & Modifications
It outputs a small amount of ac. Good for charging your phone. If you read the owners manual, it lists an odd set of constraints based on whether the engine is running, etc. -
I'm a huge fan of Prime Design. Their stuff is well designed and made. I have one of their pull down ladder racks and it will be the last rack I ever buy. It's now 7 years old, on its 2nd van, and shows no sign of ever wearing out. Customer service is also top notch. Van specific mounting hardware is another plus.
-
If they come back I doubt it will be as a (uniquely North American) body on frame van.
-
Try a stock bulb in one of the lights.
-
Wasn't for me. I just followed the instructions. Worked first time.

Pull the tire valve cores to deflate. You need to let a lot of air out in a hurry. The tool is easy to find, any auto store will have one. It will be easier if you keep the tail end of the core in the stem for easy re-insertion. Ignition switch is not relevant for that part. What you are doing is triggering the TPMS sensors. The learn process is when the computer looks for the pressures.

Seems to me that sender would trigger a code unless it's only job is to turn the fan on.
-
Sensor is located on the head under the intake manifold near the driver front cylinder intake port. If you're lucky, you have a crankshaft driven fan and its hub is the thermostat for it. Apparently it could go either way, electric motor or crankshaft drive. No idea where the relay is.

2021 SL Passenger Lift/Leveling Kit
aztec replied to Sou4thNV's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Prime design does roof racks. -
That's what I did as well. So that's two vans fixed the same way.
-
Changed the air filter. What a joy that was. 4 clips, in and out. Also put in an AGM battery. I toasted the OEM unit in 1 year. I charge a lot of batteries, work with the doors open, etc. I'll see how the AGM fares. It has a 3 year warranty. If I get 4 years that takes me to EOL for my ownership of the van.

Door Open Light Stuck on - 2012 Nissan NV2500 hightop

Sometimes my back doors will look shut but a second slam is needed to turn off the light. You could try shimming buttons one by one until it goes away. -
Last production year, time to buy or time to avoid buying?

I think I sprained my eye. Thanks. lol -

aztec replied to SeaLaVie's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Economics notwithstanding, buying a van is like buying a house. You put a lot of money into buying it, and you have to live with it every day. Make a decision based on what works for you, not the next guy to own it. -
Where are you located?

Newbie Looking for True Cargo Measurements
aztec replied to JAGR's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
It's not small, it's thin, dammit. -
Found an antenna with decent reviews but it has a barrel connector that needs an adapter to get it on the factory harness. Any ideas?
