Welcome! You’ll love your NV. As Radin2son says, post pic’s of your build; we’re interested in how it comes out.

I have rear sensors only on my 2014 Cargo Hi-top. They work flawlessly.

Glidedon is probably right. My 2014 2500 Cargo came with the console, so there was an inverter also. If you have one, it will be on the driver’s side, mounted behind the hardboard panel (if you have them), all the way to the rear, just above floor height. You can add an inverter, but it’s tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing. BTW, the factory inverter is rated at just 150 watts when the vehicle is moving, 400W when parked- not a lot of power. It is good for charging phone/laptop/tool batteries, though. See photo below.

I replaced my cargo-area lights with 6” LED “can” light retrofits meant for residential use. I removed the 12V - 120V transformer and connected directly to 12VDC power. Not sure if I’m overlooking anything, but they work fine at this point.

Buying an NVP and want feedback please
Chris Dempsey replied to BuyinganNVP's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
Snow and rain have very little affect on my sensors. I don’t have front sensors- maybe thats why I haven’t had issues w/ random beeping. Haven’t had t “debug” them either, although I did have a spider crawling across my backup camera the other day. It was HUGE! If you decide on the S, and you’re not in a hurry, you could probably find a cheap/free center console on this site. People take them out all the time. -

I didn’t realize I was getting the sonar until my truck was delivered. I probably would have thought it unnecessary too, with the camera, but I find it really handy. If its really sunny, or rainy the video is not so clear. I know others have had sonar issues, but mine works flawlessly. -
More like a rave, Chris. I ‘ve only put 7K on my Hi-Top 2500, but love almost everything about it. I’ve had zero issues, so far. SO glad I didn’t buy the Dodge or Ford.

What’s going on with the paint? I have the same issues with the “micro rust” dots. Thanks, Chris

Hey Bac Backfire- I have a 2500 Hi-Top V-6 with 6K miles. I carry almost no weight. Broke the 300 mile-on-a-tank barrier my last fill-up. MPG was the best I’ve had at 13.4. Like you I expected better mileage, and like you, am very happy with the van. I do about 60/40 city/hiway and don’t race to red lights or jump off the line at green lights. However, I drive too fast on the highway: 65+ to 80. I’m going to stay below 65 this tankful and see what I get. BTW, I’ve never seen 13+ MPG in any of my work vans, so I figure I’m ahead!

Welcome, Daniel. I’m guessing you prefer the new ride to the old? Top design looks great. The problem with the green is that it’s EVERYWHERE right now.

How many other NVP's do you spot locally?
Chris Dempsey replied to ASD Dad's topic in Lounge - Nissan NV
Very few in SE Michigan/Detroit. See way more Transits even though they're so new. Talked to a shuttle driver today about the Transit he was driving, he liked the ride and handling, said his passengers hated the step-in height and ultra narrow aisle. -
From the album: NV Cargo
Ok, so it's ugly, but cheap and. hopefully effective. I insulated the large lower cavities with "Roxul" batt insulation and the upper panels with rigid foam. I then sprayed foam in the gaps. I also used spray foam in the small, double-wall cavities, including the inside of the roof supports. When I get to it, I'll use the same method on the roof. 15 cans of foam so far, but it will be way less expensive than buying the BBQ-sized cans. -
QUESTION: Safety while sleeping in van
Chris Dempsey replied to Daydreamin520's topic in Lounge - Nissan NV
Those are a cleaner install, but I had exterior locks on my old Ford work van, and had to lock and unlock multiple times throughout the day- it became a bit of a pain. Plus, I would occasionally forget, or throw the lock in back and have to rummage around for it. Definitely better than nothing, and a lot less $. I think the remote-control deadbolts w/ alarm cost $600, installed.- 15 replies

QUESTION: Safety while sleeping in van
Chris Dempsey replied to Daydreamin520's topic in Lounge - Nissan NV
DD - I had remote control deadbolt locks installed on my old van in lieu of the surface-mount padlocks. Only way to go! They were pricey, but I would never, EVER do the surface mount padlock thing again.- 15 replies

DD- As Wollip mentioned, "Bolt" not screw. There are wood screws, metal screws, etc., but with bolts, you just need to match the size and thread coarseness or TPI (threads per inch). Metric is a bit different - and these are metric bolts. Buy an 8 millimeter/1.25 and see if it threads properly. Don't force it; you will be able to tell if it's the correct bolt pretty quickly. Bolts come in different quality grades, but these are big enough that you shouldn't need to worry about that, unless you're hanging very heavy priceless antiquities.

Nice boards. Did you install yourself? If so, how long did it take? If not, what was the installation cost? Thanks.

Welcome Capital! Sounds like NC is the NV epicenter. I bought my NV in suburban Detroit- a high-population area and the dealer had only two on the lot. My understanding is there are only two NV-carrying dealers in the state. I think Nissan could have done much better here with a bit of a marketing push. It will be more difficult now with the Ford and Ram options.
