  1. The problem with NVs always has been too few on the road, so not a lot of motivation to produce aftermarket products. Soon, there will only be used NVs on the road. Even less motivation... I assume you mean widows not screens when camping. CR Lawrence windows with bottom screens are a good product. Check for reduced prices. There are other manufacture as well. I don’t recall what windows are in the N6 listed for sale below. Conversiontrader is good for product ideas and solutions. Fit is another story. I doubt there are any screened windows for the rear fixed windows. I know econoline owners are looking for the “tilt” opening rear door windows. GM has a similar window but with more glass. That would be a good option for NVs but not with the current glass option. This might with NVs with no rear glass. When camping, Skeaterbeater screens work well. They make a durable rear screen. Tight fit and depending on how much exposed metal (held in place by magnates) there is the rear door area you have to remove the screen to close the doors. I don’t believe any one makes a sliding door screen for standard top NVs. We made our own. Their driver/passenger door screens work well.
  2. Put it on local Craigslist for free or $$$. My cargo conversion didn’t offer front sensors. Not sure if any cargo vans did. An owner of a diy “cargo” camper van should be interested.
  3. Quick search came up with videos and would you believe a Motor Trend review, dated 10/10/2012. Base price was $67k+ to $69k+. Good place to start if interested in buying one.
  4. I can’t remember where this site was first mentioned, so here it is if interested. I get weekly unsolicited emails that sometimes have good content. Today’s includes an article “Why I chose an a Nissan NV 2500 for van life.” Worth reading if considering this. 3 comments are not worth reading...
  5. NV RT owners need to start a conversion thread. Certainly could help with sharing modifications, selling and buying. Anyone know how many were built?
  6. NV Guide. Any chance you can add 2021 to model year thread? For what ever reason, the Nissan 2021 site is still marketing cargo vans and upfits. Do they not know they discontinued these? Most likely, why change the site until 2022? Their fleet section includes cars (?) and Titans. Just incase you want to compete with the major car renters and “cabs.”
  7. WanderlustAV, there isn’t a thread to my knowledge. You should start one. Does RT have one archived? Potential buyers doing research could use this, since most posts are diy hightops. Surprised you are not tempted to pull the trigger on this one. Definitely more than a weekender and could get customers into some great country. And the winch may get them out. Plus, this build answers the most frequently asked question, “Does it have a bathroom?”
  8. If RT had offered this design/build at the onset, it may have caught on. Same for our SMB. We were lucky that the “one size fits all” worked for us. Actually, there were 2 versions. The only changes before we picked it up was doubling the size of the potable water tank and adding a hot water system using engine heat. Similar but not the same as yours. We only use it for the outdoor shower. The standard top NV with pop top is the way to go. Great van to convert to a camper van. Good luck.
  9. Juicy has done this for years with Dodge Caravans, human size clamshells on top and kitchens in the back with the lift gate for shelter. They resold a bunch of these for $9k. Since we have not been traveling, I have no idea if/how Juicy survived. Good luck.
  10. Welcome. We used to see one in our neighborhood. Reminded me of the VW weekender rather than camper. Should be a perfect rental.
  11. Don’t you love talking to yourself. We don’t see many NV 200 posts. (Low coolant has not been a reported issue for the larger NVs.) Check your manual for the recommended change mileage. You may be close. Depending on the age/mileage, it may have been changed before if you are not the original owner. This may shorten the next mileage based change. Any idea why it lost coolant? Or is it a very small amount...
  12. How and where is the mirror mounted in NV 200s with rear windows? (Assuming rear windows are an option.) Then go to a dealer, windshield business or salvage yard to see what parts are needed/available.
  13. Rather than wait for TD conversion owners to see your post, you should PM them. TD still has a good supply of NVs in stock.
  14. A new post for a NV hightop V8 conversion on conversiontrader. The 4x4 hightop listed for sale here also showed up for sale. Problem with conversiontrader is they don’t have sold info.
  15. Since it has 2 side doors, take it to a self service car wash. If you can’t direct the spray completely, put up painter’s plastic to protect the front.
  16. Shanon, are you still out there. We are running out of jokes. But, I must say aztec’s unibody workout works. He looks fabulous.
  17. Why not call your local Nissan dealer parts dept to get parts’ number(s) and price(s). Or consult the body builders’ guide that has links posted here.
  18. Vanlifers emailed a link to camperreport.com “Don’t miss the ultimate RV & van build-out event” by Gutted. (I’m too old to know what/why Gutted.) 3 teams led by “popular” YouTubers will compete to create the best custom build. This will occur September 8-12, 2021 in Alamosa, Colorado. I could go on and on about this but won’t. I can say say this is a great time of year to be in Colorado and northern New Mexico. The roads are spectacular and you may want to leave NV at home, forget this event and somehow get your hands on a vintage sports car or motorcycle. You will not regret this... Our NV was fun to drive, as is usually the case on secondary roads. Keep an eye on the gas gage, however.
  19. “Easy” parking when not doing this...
  20. Never paid much attention to 2500 HD badge. It may come down to V6 vs V8 HD. Since you want a V8 it’s probably moot. There are differences between the 2500/3500 and old/new V8 but not enough considering your planed use. Consensus says buy 2017-21 for new V8 and transmission. Both will tow your car and get lower mpg as a result. But why? These trucks are easy to drive, park and will get you deep into and out of recreation land. More comprehensive answers are here for the digging...
  21. Go to maintenance, “Baby tooth...”
  22. See you put your NV on conversion trader. A couple of high top NVs have sold there. Good luck.
  23. Welcome. How did Nissan not realize the NVP was marketable? Wrong question given Nissan’s financial woes.
  24. MTBChris, Great review. When I last looked at 4x4 warranties, (not that long ago) it was 1 year for used and 2 for new. Are you saying, Nissan adds 3-4 years warranty on the conversion or that it doesn’t impact the Nissan warranty? My inclination, before TD, was to go with Advanced due to proximity or Quigley. They at least had experience with NVs. Jury still out about TD. Their product looks great and their videos are convincing, but I don’t look to a dealer for this. Sort of begs the question why no other dealers tried this. Did meet a TD NVP owner on the road who was more than happy after 1k.
