  1. Under accessories and mods there is a lengthy description. You have to dig deep in the strangest places to find what you need. Just out out of curiosity, why not get a NVP closer to home and have them deliver it to Quigley. I get the road trip... Have you travelled out west before?
  2. Above and Beyond delivery in Phoenix, AZ, in conjunction with “real world” driving for Nissan’s proving ground, exceeded 500k with few problems. We still see their vans on the road. I don't remember the mileage but Chris, commercial manager for the dealership in Charlotte, NC took one in trade that was in great shape but he didn’t know how to price it.
  3. eurocampers.com is again running a 10% off sale (code:RUSHMORE) on NV accessories.
  4. No relevant changes to the interior since 2012. Lots of old posts about need for rear mats and covers for seat rails. There shouldn’t be any issues.
  5. Welcome. You will have a great trip back particularly if you drive south to I-70 and Canyonlands. Should be warm around Moab.
  6. Try living in one for 2 months. It gets smaller and smaller. But since you mention it, it does get thinner.
  7. Measurements are fine but you really need to get inside one. The cargo space is smaller than you might expect. Overall exterior length may the same as other standard vans, but the long hood cuts into interior space. Lots of posts about the need for an extended van. They make a great van but the interior seems to shrink the longer the trip... We would have gone with an extended NV if available.
  8. Maybe someone new will do this, but you may have to dig deep to find a similar old post. Better to just go to a commercial dealer or check out one of the many used vehicles listed on line.
  9. There are older post regarding this. If I recall correctly, most said no to difficult. Someone added Transit seats. The dealer is not likely to touch this. Liability. Look for the older posts.
  10. When I have to charge a phone using the center console usb, I have to turn the key to accessory. Never tried the 12v outlet. Logical, since we have an outlet near the sliding door that Sportsmobile installed that works off the house batteries. Great for plugging in a cooler but have to disconnect when camping for awhile or the batteries will drain.
  11. The oem sensors probably aren’t NV specific. There was a diy fix posted long ago.
  12. Conversiontrader.com is a good place to look for ideas. Until recently there was a NVP or standard roof cargo NV with awning etc. It sold or was taken off site. Search “Nissan” to see what is on offer. Otherwise you mainly will see ProMaster and Sprinters. Good for ideas...
  13. Also different from the Passenger vans that are built in Mexico.
  14. Welcome. Most of the diy conversions here are high tops, but you may get some good ideas.
  15. Nice work. Looks like you are in Quartzite or Kofa Mountains.
  16. Best bet is to scroll down to Accessories and modifications and see what is there. Posts appear in the strangest places, so you may want to check the Feedback and help section.
  17. We have the door lights off when opening front doors. Since our camper van has been parked for a very long time, who knows if they will come on again. Sportsmobile installed a switch next to the glove box for a led light in the ceiling above the passenger seat; we use this when needed. There are recent posts where the interior light doesn’t come on. Since our NV is a converted cargo van, we have no ac in the back. It can get uncomfortable/stuffy but our dogs have tolerated this. We aim the front vents up and back to share the discomfort. Actually, the front ac works great.
  18. When buying a 2021 NV, are dealers saying anything about end of production this summer? Inventory through the year? Will their commercial investment mean anything? I hope it opens up the opportunity to use all Nissan dealerships for service and/or provide recall and warranty fixes. It would make it easier to find a local dealer.
  19. Not easy to find, but most of your concerns are addressed in previous posts. Smooth ride and plenty of power with mpg less to about the same as your ford. Step up should be about the same. Front passenger seat is low, perhaps due to commercial design for folded seat back to function as a desk. We just crawl over the console as we like the storage. There are posts regarding removing it as you describe while others have replaced it with a fridge. Main issue may be rear ac. Check this section. Some diy fixes but no help from dealers. Some random windshield breakage, slider door not (un)locking and poor paint quality on roof. A great van, truck as is frequently said.
  20. High top or standard top? Not that it matters. Large chip just out of eyesight on driver side (standard top). Repaired. Much later, crack appeared near top through tinted area, also on driver side. Replaced for free by insurance. Could it be that roads are in such bad shape that all sorts of things are being kicked up? You can hear hits, but maybe not near the top.
  21. nissanhelp.com (may not be Nissan) lists all the codes/cause. It sends your to another link, however. 525 codes if I read it correctly.
  22. Depending on location only Advanced in UT and Quigley in PA offer(ed) the option of converting used NVs. There are others out there but mostly covert Fords. If this is a diy project, you are not likely to get much help.
  23. eurocampers.com has a 10% off sale through 12/4. Mostly for Sprinters etc, but a few things for NVs. Sale code is TOFURKY
  24. Try to deal with the service manager at the same dealership or go to another. PM Michele Gravina to see if diy fix worked.
  25. Best bet is to climb up and see for yourself or PM diy conversion solar posts.
