Not bad at all... Track days and racing should be posted under events. Might just wake up this site!

andy-george drives his NV like it is, even when towing.

NV in new photos...

OK. Where are the photos, past and present? Make sure your NV is in the photo...

For Sale: 2014 NV 3500HD SV High Roof with Quigley 4x4
radin2son replied to KMG's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Sold ( See above). Hard to imagine it has been 4 years since KMG was an owner. He posted for awhile afterwards. There are other 4x4 conversions out there that the owners have had awhile. Times and obligations change. -
Geepman, Will your wife give up her NV for your project? If not, you should be be able to pick up a 2012 for $ and spend $$$$$ for the conversion. Let us know how it works out.

Welcome. Keep posting photos.

Were you selling and pulled it, or did you buy? A lot of good things in the conversion. Only 2 of the photos opened or I couldn’t get the slide show to work. -
You would think the recall notice could be mailed out regardless. Our NV also is sitting unused.

12 mpg actually is pretty good for towing with a NVP. Prior to the intro of the Titan diesel, Cummins installed diesels in 1 or 2 NVs for their use. No useful details. There is a post here that the diesel was not specifically designed for the Titan. Something to do with a Canadian bus... Another NV diesel project was an extreme 4x4 cargo van conversion. The Nissan produced video may still be available on their commercial site. Again not much useful info. New Chevy gas V8?

One of the problems with conversion trader is there is no way to determine if the van was sold or simply taken off the site. The above NV is no longer listed. Only 2 diy conversion posts remain.

I don’t recall anyone on this site installing a furnace in a diy conversion. The most recent NV for sale on conversiontrader.com did have an Espar/Webasto furnace, but it apparently sold quickly for $30k. One of 2 remaining NVs has an Atwood furnace. You may want to email the owner to see why. -
I agree with aztec. When we bought our 2012 NV SV it came with chrome. Somewhere along the line, it changed. If you need the bin, go with the sv. Otherwise stick with the s unless you can get an sv or sl for the same price.

Welcome. The one negative is the scarcity of NV commercial dealerships. Google dealership web sites in cities and states near you. Tim Dahle in SLC probably has the largest inventory. You can try to use the “best” internet price as a bargaining tool but dealers are on to this and it can be hard to compare vehicles due to dealer add ons and available trim levels. You may not need a 3500 for your planed use, but if you want it just buy one. No sense in trying to do it on your own. Have you considered used? Carmax and Carfax have lots of white NVs for sale. Also Conversion Trader has several used diy NVs for sale. We had a good service experience at the dealership in Colorado Springs. The good news is that you can take your NV for service at any commercial dealership. The bad news is that it has to be a commercial dealership...

Probably not the best time to sell a camper van. Another NV post on conversiontrader.com. 2012 NV 2500 V8 hightop (6’3” headroom) with 107,000 miles for $35k. Good looking build. Located in Phoenix area and owner is willing to deliver and fly back. 4/12 Unless I misread the price, it now is $30k.

275/55r20 (20+ os) what to do about tire warning light
radin2son replied to SebestaNV's topic in Conversions
Go to Titan owners forum to see if they have a solution. We stopped at a dealership in Rockspring, WY when we had some issues with TPMS. He mentioned Titan owners were complaining about this. Try adding air to see what point the warning won’t come on. It may not need much. If you had e rated tires you wouldn’t have to worry about over inflation. -
April Fuel posts once a year...

2012-17 NVs, cargo and passenger, will get an airbag recall notice later this month. Put it in my VIN and it has been recalled. Air bag inflator will be replaced by one made by Daicel.

GM decided to add the 6.6 V8 and and not rebadge a NV HD to remain relevant. Enter Toyota with no commercial van production in North America. Rumor has it that Toyota will rebadge the NV 3500 and build the “CREWTON” in California. As the name implies it will offer fold away second row seats. Power will come from the I-force 5.7 V8. Lexus may rebadge the best selling Infinity Qv35 van, that took the suburb out of Suburban. Lexus will likely rebadge it as Xv35. Source: April Fuel

conversiontrader.com has a 2019 Transit Connect for sale with a modular system made by Goose Gear.

In the 8+ yrs NVs have been on the road, I have seen exactly 2 being transported to dealerships. One was this morning hanging on for dear life on the upper back of a car transporter. White of course. Do they transport them only on moonless nights to preserve their “What is that?” status...

If money again were no object, Sportsmobile West has a 2019 Quigley 4x4 Transit, Ext high top, on their lot to be converted. Base price is $41,250. Add $8,155 in options (includes diesel for $3,995). MSRP is $50,885 but that is before Quigley. With dual rear wheels, it will be $66,200. Now you can add the SMB conversion... Or in the alternative, you can go full overland in an old Defender (Parker, AZ). Hope everyone is well, looking for something to read.

It was either a NV 2500 or 3500 high top. Only 2 choices, standard or high top. No extended version. Go to Nissan commercial to get interior dimensions. At 6’3” you are probably too tall. If you plan to use this as a cargo van, it shouldn’t be a problem. If you intend to do a diy camper conversion, a subfloor etc will decrease headroom... Transit may be your best bet. If money is no object, a Sprinter?
