  1. Colorado Camper is a good choice. We like the rear window in their poptop, making 6 total. Our SMB has 5. ???s Why did you go with a NVP over a cargo van. A professional photographer couple did the same thing for the fit and finish. They didn
  2. PM joejackyalcom as he is looking for rail covers. This is a sleepy forum...
  3. Welcome. Be prepared for questions regarding your 4x4 conversion. Advanced? Quigley? Tim Dahle Titan parts conversion? You are the second NVP owner to consider or go with a poptop. The former gave up on the idea and I believe sold it not long after he bought it. When you say you are in line for one, do you mean you are waiting for or have an install date? Who will be doing it? We have had our Sportsmobile poptop for 7 years and it has held up well. If you are considering an electric assist, do it now. Sportsmobile I believe can install an insulated canvas if they are willing to work on a NV. (They converted 30 in 2012 plus a few one-offs.) Otherwise, you will be as cold or hot as camping in a tent. We have neither. Too costly to go back and update. See what I mean about questions...
  4. There have been previous posts. Good luck finding them. Have you tried FB?
  5. Welcome. There are several dog hauler posts on this forum. Good luck finding them. One major negative compared to your Transit is the scarcity of NV commercial dealerships and the fact that non commercial dealerships cannot work on NVs. This may not be a problem if you do your own service or have an independent mechanic. Recalls have been almost nonexistent. Warranty work will require a trip to commercial dealership. Carfax is a good place to start for pricing and availability if your local dealer has a limited selection. Limited may be optimistic... The older V8 is a good engine and mpg is about the same.
  6. PM Googly1 as he has a 2018 NVP Advanced 4x4 to get first hand review. If you know anything about fuses, he could use your help...
  7. Contact Ken Garff Nissan, also in SLC. 15 2019 SL NVPs on the lot, discounted $1800 or so. He works with Advanced 4x4 in SLC and can get the SL converted ($46-62k). You also could order a 2020 or get on a waiting list for a used 4x4 conversion. Can
  8. Did your mechanic offer a solution? Unless this is related to the Quigley conversion, few NVs have this issue. The caveat should be
  9. Good to hear that the end result was a great van. Keep us posted...
  10. That was then, but what is the status now. Did your local dealer get this resolved through warranty? Or was your only recourse to deal with td or pay out of pocket? Does this 4x4 conversion work for you? How many miles on the odometer?
  11. Neil, You need and cannot go wrong with the NVP. One question I would ask is about the warranty on the 4x4 conversion. At the very least it should be the same as a Titan. Another is what type of additional service is required and ask your local commercial dealership if they will work on it. Recalls and problems have been few so you are really just dealing with oil changes.
  12. Near Bend, OR we met the owner of a td 4x4 conversion with no lift. Lived in Washington and no complaints with 4K on the odometer. If I recall correctly, 14 mpg.
  13. Check out their videos. One of the problems with shipping (see video) is they submit shipping out for bid to various contractors. Better to fly to SLC and drive it back yourself. They also do other in house mods. See videos. They generally have a huge inventory of NVPs. Currently 10 2019 on the lot. One 2020. They are probably the dealership you buy from and never return for service etc.
  14. Yes, sort of. Tim Dahle is the only Nissan approved dealership per their claim that does the Titan 4x4 to NV conversion. Under the latest
  15. I know this is off topic and Tim Dahle dealership has a questionable reputation, but the videos offer some good info regarding NVPs, not just 4x4 conversions. Click on NVP 4x4 conversions to get to the videos timdahlesouthtowne.com
  16. eBay has one or more used 4th row seats. Pricey plus $250 shipping. Regarding, nv pricing, carfax has a good selection of used NVs. I looked to see what our 2012 cargo was worth minus the conversion value. $13-15k. Roughly half msrp.
  17. I think it is the result of the site slowly going away. Try moving the photo to desk top and drag it to your post. This worked
  18. Check out the ProMaster link to get to the blog trentandallievan.com They post frequently and recently travelled through Mexico and Central America. They are now in Columbia after shipping their extended ProMaster high top and motorcycle in a container. Very tight fit with solar panels on top and being the widest of current vans. I
  19. Thanks. Great resource. Her site includes a video of her NV conversion along with videos for Sprinters, Transits and ProMasters. vacayvans.com
  20. Somewhere on this site is a parts link. Good luck finding it. If you haven
  21. Back to electric. Saw an article that there is proposal to encourage the general health of the auto industry and growth of home grown electric vehicles. The plan is to offer $3-5k for your 8+ year old vehicle plus a $2k rebate or something. Vehicles turned in will be crushed. Granted, many people don
  22. On second thought, maybe Nissan (returns to*) the electric game if Chevy City Express continues to use the rebadged NV 200 in its plans for electric trucks. The NV 200 is a world van, built in Mexico, India, Spain, China, Malaysia as well as Japan. *In 2012 at the North American Auto Show, the NVe200 concept had the same engine as the Leaf with a 73 mile range. Back to the original thread. I still would like Nissan to make a deal with FCA to use eTorque in the Titan and larger NVs.
  23. There was news after the GM strike
