Speechless regarding the loo. Mostly glad you didn't bring us along... Low profile unit. Looks good.

Original owner? If not, doesn't really matter. That is a lot of miles. Since you don't mention any problems, that is a lot of trouble free miles. You may have the most miles of anyone on this forum. What do you use your van for?

If you use your smartphone go to the bottom of this site and click on full site. If you want to add a photo to the above post, go to edit and you will see the attachment option. You can go to your other/new post and edit it the same way. Vertical photos will post sideways so hold your phone/camera sideways to get a horizontal photo. There is a "how to" under help etc. as well. You can also start a galley.

Go to O'Reilly Auto Parts; the options are endless. OEM is close to the bottom and for about the dealer price you get a much better blade. They also will install them, but it is easy enough to do it yourself as long as you can reach them. Ignore what I posted about letting the dealer do it. I noticed one was split when packing For a trip. Drove over in our car with one in hand expecting a choice of one...

Anyone got a new 2017 NV 3500 v8 w/7 sp trans yet?
radin2son replied to breeze's topic in Cargo, Hauling & Towing
I haven't broken it down that way but at highway speeds, it is right around 2200. Rarely gets beyond 2500 that I've noticed. Other than towing and pushing 90 mph, I'm not sure why some people report 3500 at 85 mph. Just out of curiosity, does manual mode let you use all speeds. On our V8, it goes to 4th but 5th gear is there. I always assumed it locked out 5th but it makes sense if you want to comtrol shifting to the extent the computer will permit. -
Back in 2012, the commercial manager at Dublin Nissan (CA) wanted Nissan to make an extended van. Nissan is slow to see the need. The one feature that is generally not liked is the low, non power passenger seat. Seems like that would be a great SL upgrade. Higher seat on all models would be good. Transforce still the oem tire? You may/will have problems on wet costruction sites and some dirt roads particularly when the tread wears down. Post some photos of your van and interior. (If you use a smart phone, go to the full site and tap more options to get to attachments. It is fairly easy but take horizontal photos. Vertical photos will post sideways.)

Welcome, again... You will have to change your "My NV" profile as soon as you take a good look. We are partial to brilliant silver.

Yes, there is Blue Highways, Travels with Charlie and On the Road, but have you heard of American Road by Pete Davies? Ever wonder why Dwight D Eisenhower was keen on interstates? Yes, there is the defense explaination... In July 1919, the Federal Government put together a military "truck train" to create a 3250 mile road from Washington DC to San Francisco. There were cars in cities but little in the way of roads to connect them; the exception was California that had a well developed road system to support agriculture. People were also driving their private cars across the country. Eisenhower, a Lieutenant, was p***ed that he missed out on fighting in Europe due to his organizational skills (ring any bells) went along for the ride... Not a bad read and if you haven't read the others take them along as well.

If you have the 3 yr/36k warranty, you are on your own, unless there is a documented previous fix by Nissan or if you are lucky a service bulletin for this. Go to the Titan/Frotier sites, depending on your engine, to see if there are reports about this type of failure. Without looking at the emissions warranty, you are still within the mileage. When you look at what is or isn't covered by Nissan, you may not find this. Similarly, the Federal emissions warranty may not help. I had an oxygen sensor fail, just past the 36k warranty but had a documented history of check engine light coming on. The sensor, part of the emissions system, wasn't covered. I paid to have it fixed as we were traveling, then contacted Nissan Commercial customer relations (has to be them) when we got home. I gave the service manager here a heads up. Eventually, Nissan reimbursed the total to fix it.

Your mirror may have taken a hit or was not folded (?) correctly. Being plastic that is all it took to loosen it. Or break it. I not sure taking it off will give you a better view. Try loosening the 2 visible bolts to take it off and see. My guess is that the mirrors snap together and there is no way to tighten anything internally. Since these are cheap to make but expensive to replace, can you disable the folding option, your choice of how. Shooting it won't work.

The 2017 model has been out for how long? Yet no update to site... The "Adminstrator" is "active," in fact was on this site this morning. Profile says he or she owns a 2015 NVP and is from Daytona. Whether or not any of this is true... Doesn't much matter, but how about bringing the forum up to date.

I glanced at this section on the mobile version and noticed a post from January 2017. Whoa, what was that? Recall, nope. Just me seeing if Nissan Commercial customer advocates were doing a better job. Hope people are calling them about nagging quality issues, particularly if your dealer fixed it right the first time. Recalls have been few, none recently and none serious. I think part of the reason is the lack of significant changes from 2012-16. I would expect the same for 2017 even with the new engine and transmission. Another reason to buy a NV, new or used.

The main problem with posting disappointing mpg under NV 1500 is that it only comes with a V6. Axulsuv (NV 1500) and Mahu (NV 2500) both have/had V6 NVs. V8 mpg seems to be a consistent 12-14 combined and 9-10 city. Boy, did I miss the point on my post. This started as a NV 1500 post and I along with other interlopers added V8 info. To make it easier for new buyer research, it may be best to start separate V6 and V8 topics under Lounge - Nissan NV. Then I can keep my posts straight...

Installing marine ply flooring over stock floor and padding
radin2son replied to Rollinghaus's topic in Conversions
Rollinghaus, Did you check out the rubber coated plywood flooring from inlad. Reminds me of loncoin (? spelling) an optional flooring offered by van converters. We have the standard marine coating is our van. It is a little rough to touch. The rubber coating put on the step added by SMB over the Nissan step wore through. I brushed on pickup bed coating. It has some texture to it and has lasted. Don't know why SMB put this step in as it adds about 2" to the step up. We use the grab handle often. -
Welcome and don't worry about typos. We all make them. You can go back anytime to correct them. Just hit edit... Nissan did a promo video on small delivery service in Phoenix, Above and Beyond. At the time they had 500k on one of their vans. We see them in northern AZ. Similar to your E350, your NV is a truck, a tough truck that is a great chassis for passenger vans that tow or not and conversions. You probably will not complain about mpg given how you will use it. Just out of curiosity, how does your Transit mpg compare with your E350? Also, why an SL?

Inlad Truck and Van Equipment in February 2013 posted photos of high and low roof passenger NVs. I never paid any attention to the photos assuming Nissan built both and the photos showed aftermarket upgrades. They have locations in Illinois, Maryland and Wisconsin and mostly offer commercial upgrades but check it out anyway. www.inlad.com

Your photo looks suspiciously like Homolovi SP... It must be the shade trees. (Didn't see the text above your photo.) Good looking tt. That was the S model we saw; I looked at the web site when we returned to Tucson. Never got a chance to talk to the owner. I would stick with the V8 for the same reason we opted for the V8 NV 2500.

2017 V8 high roof cargo Crew van newbie
radin2son replied to cabinetcrew's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
Chris_commercial manager had a single rear seat installed for a buyer in a work NV. PM him for details if you cannot find his post and photo. He, however, is on the other coast... In the gallery, there is/was a high top passenger van. -
2017 V8 high roof cargo Crew van newbie
radin2son replied to cabinetcrew's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
What do you plan to do with a high roof that a low roof won't do? You after all are coming from a similar van. A NVP quite possibly would have done what want, minus the stand up room if that is what you need. A professional photographer couple bought a NVP beacuse they liked the interior finish vs the cargo van. They removed all the seats and I think used the seat tracks to hold an equipment box in place. -
Installing marine ply flooring over stock floor and padding
radin2son replied to Rollinghaus's topic in Conversions
Didn't see this post... Mahu has documented his build; great cabinet builder. He opted not to have a pass through via the rear door. Tim Lutz on instagram has a pass through build; he has a blog but it is not updated as often as Instagram. He is pretty close to full time. Others will chime in. -
New NV2500 hightop from Encinitas, Ca
radin2son replied to Rollinghaus's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
ASD Dad, this may be the rubber mat you can use. Wonder if it shows up under NV parts? (The rear floor covering is standard on the SV version. Not clear if it is an available option on the S. this at least would give you the opportunity to see if it will work.) Rollinghaus, have you done this before? Lots of great ideas on this site. -
It would be a chore to cut it properly and each slot would be a gravel catcher.

New NV2500 hightop from Encinitas, Ca
radin2son replied to Rollinghaus's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
Sorry. I just abbreviated Sportsmobile to SMB. They converted our cargo van. I'm surprised that NV cargo vans come with floor covering and padding since floor covering is aftermarket. I may be confusing NVs with the base model or Transit and Dodge. Do you have the S, SV or Sl. There is a very good NV build video called Magic. It is under conversions as a link, but it is easier to find on Vimeo or YouTube. Depending on how you are going to put down your subfloor, I would look underneath the rubber floor and padding to see what is there and not hit anything vital. -

Welcome. What type of build? No reason not to unless you want more insulation etc. Looks like SMB left it in place. -
Done. I didn't notice the "s" and can only imagine what came up instead. Strange disclaimer unless vantred also makes a similar product for NVPs.
