The grass is always greener... I look at images of the SW and think, Wow look at all of the trails my high roof van can clear.
-
I think the 2" lift cost $2,500 when upfitting the van originally, $3,000 if after the front drive system has been installed. Call Quigley to verify. I have the memory of an old goat.

I resemble that remark!

FYI. While visiting with Quigley Motors today about a lift kit for my van (Not cost effective and has to be Quigley installed), I was told the 2017 NV will have a 7 speed tranny but will not have factory 4x4 or Diesel. He said 2018 for the diesel and no word on 4x4. I don't know if he is correct but thought I'd pass it along. The 7 speed tranny allows Quigley to have a 2 speed transfer case.

Why Choose Nissan NV over Ford Econoline?
KMG replied to klausvanwinkle's topic in Nissan NV 3500 HD
Received another PM from the Expedition Portal Moderator. He said this isn't the first time an issue on another forum site has followed Klaus back to EP and then he tattles to the Moderator who has to respond by telling both children to play nice, stay on your side, and don't touch each other. Yes I included myself in the last statement. I've never tolerated the SH*T stirring type well which makes me childish I guess. -

I had to look up Billy Goats Gruff. So am I one of the 3 goats or the greedy troll who waits for the 3rd biggest goat? Be careful with your answer. If you hurt my feelings I'll tattle! -

Received a PM from Expedition Portal moderator telling me to "Stay away from Klaus". His words. I replied that I would not respond to his posts if he stayed off of our forum. No reply from the moderator. Little Klaus went and tattled that I hurt his feelings. Too Funny! -
Tall person in the market for an NV High Roof

I have the folding dinette/bed from RB Components and it has fit my needs well. -

Found Klausvansmallpenis' build on Expedition Portal forum. Bruce the 2014 Jeep JK Build. I posted this today: "Klaus, With all the advantages offered by Toyota and Nissan , what made you decide to take a chance on a JK? There are a lot of other mall cruiser type vehicles available from many manufactures for a lot less. I'm not trolling. I'm honestly looking for honest opinion". I'm going to enjoy sitting back and reading all of the nasty replies. I know it's childish but I can't help it! -
buying used: what to look for?

My van came with just the two rear doors with glass. I installed after market Hehr brand awning style side windows. Is that SMB NV still in Port Angeles? I drove by it last September. -

Others know more than me but I don't think a high roof was offered with windows. If they are aftermarket, I'd check for leaks. -
Nice vehicles andy_george! What's the Freightliner used for? Great exhaust on the bus!

My Nissan does great when towing. It fits inside nicely. :) Show me what you guys are pulling with your NVs

KMG replied to radin2son's topic in Conversions
Radin2son, I forgot you have the pop top. It's even your profile image. I've said before and now, your welcome at my place any time you're near. I'd like to see your NV. I guess I was remembering Jon Nelson's because it's a high roof NV. I'd like a pop top for a second sleeping area. You mentioned it's tight but with my high roof I should be able to lower the bed increasing headroom and still have room under the bed for my dinette/bed combo. I'd lower the upper bed about 12". -
OEM Nissan & Titan parts for 4x4 Conversions??
KMG replied to TX MARSHMALLOW's topic in 4x4 Conversions
Jon, I have a Quigley conversion. If you're near Springfield, MO, I'd like to compare the conversion components and see your penthouse. I'm considering a raisable top for my van. Thanks, Kevin -
I was browsing the net and found these at www.bodyguardvanliners.com. I didn't know wall liner kits were available for the NV. Sure would be an easy way to finish a non windowed van

I estimate I'll get 45,000 miles out of the Duratracs. I'll go with an AT tire next time.
-
I have 15,500 miles on my Goodyear Duratracs. They have performed well in snow, rain, off road mud, and river gravel. They are becoming noticeably louder at highway speed. Wear is even across the tread with rotation every 3,000 miles. How are other's tires performing?

I'd like to know if the discounted units all have the Ecoboost engine?

Why Choose Nissan NV over Ford Econoline?

I received a PM from Klaus telling me he is writing a NV ad campaign and wanted to know why we liked NV's The whole PM was BS! Hey Klaus You have had time to PM me and post but just haven't had the time to post the source of your "that on average NV owners seem to see their vans as less reliable and trust them less than Ford and Chevy owners." line of crap? What ad agency are you with? My uncle is an ad executive in Detroit. He's known for creating the Marlboro Man and is currently managing GM's Cadillac division and McDonald's corporate ads. I'll ask him about the agency you "write" for. -
I didn't have any direct dealings with Quigley. When I was in the market for a NV to convert to 4x4, Quigley's production schedule was 8 weeks for delivery. I called Quigley and asked if they knew of any Nissan dealers stocking NVs already converted. They suggested John Howard Nissan in Morgantown, WV and Apple Nissan in York, PA. I flew to WV and drove the NV back. The Quigley 4x4 and the NV have been flawless from 85 mph highway speed in Wyoming, to an off road 4x4 mountain pass in the Tetons, and the sea level beach we drove on in the Olympic peninsula. Replacing the stock Transforce tires with Duratracs and an air box mod are the only non conversion upgrades I have performed....so far. Ask questions or PM me if you need any assistance. Kevin P.S. Allegiant airline has very reasonable flights from Orlando to Springfield, MO.. You are welcome to drive mine.

In addition to the advantages already posted, We felt the additional leg and overall cab space was nice. Especially in a vehicle you intend to spend many hours driving. Best of luck.
