  1. The amount you see on the road is so variable depending on area, I honestly can't go more than two days without seeing an NVP here in Charlotte, and see at least a dozen if not more NV's just coming and going to work, not even counting when I'm out driving around. You have to remember two more things though. One, this is a Japanese company through and through. They are inherently very conservative, change and modification can come very slow. Decisions simply take time. Second, the whole commercial division within Nissan operates as a separate entity and is still growing with staff as well. The knowledge base of how to run this operation in this country is still in it's infancy as well. That staff (nissan employees) assists dealers, allocates vehicles, signs on new commercial dealers........just on and on and on. It is not easy to just start hiring people and putting all the other things in place to handle that load. For better or worse, and in my case I think it's better, it will take time to put everything in place to handle increased production. You can't just expand the plant and start kicking out more vehicles. Our numbers are fantastic and you will see more of our vehicles on the road, we truly have the best product on the road for many people's needs. You will also see variations on product offerings, I just wouldn't hold your breath as to when.
  2. No 4x4 because they can't even produce enough now of what you have. If you had ever seen the place in the plant where they manufacture these, running a full two shifts, you'd see that expansion in it's present place isn't too feasible. Heck, I'm having enough trouble just getting NV Cargo vans, I literally could use another 20 right now and can't get them. It's a good problem!! :)
  3. Do it for sure!! Have done it to many bumpers on offroad vehicles, turned out to be bulletproof.
  4. What do you mean about your seat position comments? You can even turn them around backwards, you can find a thread on here detailing that.
  5. Ten thousand is the number that has been used with us when the topic has come up. I personally don't mind the older powerplant and small revisions. It's easy to sell against the competition that has their new products, and the new problems that accompany that technology. It might be older tech but it's tried and true. I wouldn't mind an option as you have ASD for an upgrade. But I'd like to see this rock solid reliable (although admittedly not the most fuel efficient option) be around for all of the tradesman purchasing these vehicles.
  6. Question, would you spend an extra ten grand for that engine? I ask because we've had round table talks at manufacturer and dealer get togethers and that is the number that always comes up. Being a commercial product first Nissan is of the opinion that probably would not sell well in the cargo van. I have to agree, though I do think for the right person it would be a great fit.
  7. I have the pleasure of doing many mobility upfits. I have had a ton of previous experience from my days with Sprinter, so much of that client base still calls. Obviously now with Nissan I've taken my experience to this product. I really love helping families with these. Everyone's needs are unique and each build is different. In this one we really thought we were going to lose the rear bumper. With some shaving and welding we were able to keep it. I've never really posted a video but I'm going to start. I have clients from all over the place coming in to have these built and it truly is a GREAT platform for a family that has someone in it with special needs. I have done side and rear entry. This one is a rear. Disclaimer: This was done 5 mintues prior to their pickup and I'm no cinematographer, but you'll get the idea :) (wish I could figure out how to have the screen flip 90 degrees when I rotate the camera :/
  8. Hey....Welcome!! If you need anything contact your commercial manager who sold you the vehicle first. No real bugs to speak or anything normal to expect. Some people on here will complain about rear sonar related things but honestly I've never had a single client have an issue. Enjoy your new vehicle, it will bring you years of GREAT service.
  9. I have not KMG...... I would expect like all chambered mufflers there is a "drone zone" and I'd imagine they will all be a little different. Check on the titan forums :)
  10. Guys with the Quigley's will do it because they offer a lift on the conversion. I'd start googling that and I'm sure you may turn up some more pics, but here you go. http://nissannvforum.com/gallery/image/108-2013-08-29-193209/
  11. I would call a local truck and trailer place in your neck of the woods, see what models they offer and go take a look. If it's like our area over here you will find some options and while you can't view the exact floorboard on the vehicle they will have a same look style in stock that you can view for quality and appearance. Most of my customers buying running boards are using their vans for their hotel groups. I can tell you that they all go with "owens products" (purchased and installed by one of my local vendors) and they love them because they really take a beating. Much more so than in a family setting.
  12. 146 is the wheel base, the second dimension are most likely the dimensions of the pad you are purchasing. (Just a guess)
  13. I've always been partial to a chambered muffler. I have a few mustangs.....mustamg with flows=drooling :) I've heard plenty of titans with a chambered muffler as well, very nice from the outside.
  14. That sure sounds like a pre delivery prep issue. Check your fusebock, there is a fuse that needs to be pushed in when the van arrives to us dealers from the factory, it kind of has a plastic thing around the fuse, hard to explain but pretty obvious when looking at it. Go to the fuse box and see what you see. Also, just for the sake of it if that yields nothing, move your stalk on the left hand side of the steering wheel all the way down and turn the wipers on full for a moment.
  15. MERRY X MAS..... I feel like I haven't been on here much. The end of the year is SOOOOOOO busy. I literally have not had a single moment of downtime. All of the companies are buying right now to get things in on this years taxes, they upped limits on section 179 so business is CRAZY good. Again, Merry X MAS All!!!
  16. if you can post a sound clip, would be fun to show my customers
  17. Always on the road radin, have a blast! Welcome Great White!
  18. They should come in a plastic bag from the manufacturer in the van. If you do not have them call and ask asap.
  19. It is going to cost you a kings ransom no matter what you do.... I hate to say this but your almost better off trading up to an SL.
  20. Most dealerships have on sight paint repair mobile units that can do this repair. I'd go to your local nissan dealership to see who they use on the lot, approach the guy on the side and offer him $100. He will sand, prime paint clear. It is your best option next to a body shop.
