  1. My trailer’s GVWR is 3625 lbs. (my nv is a 6cyl.) I dont use the weight distribution bars but I would recommend using them on anything heavier. I also would not scrimp on the brake controller either. Or mirrors. If you NV does not have trailer, slide out mirrors, you’ll thank yourself for getting them. Another thing Im glad i bought is the rearview camera. I mounted it on my trailer it has a quick release cable to a monitor inside.
  2. My 15 cargo is a v6. If anyone is considering the v6 over the v8 for gas miliage i would not recommend it. If i had my rathers, it woul be the 8. The v6 works harder to push the big box around and the gas miliage as a result suffers. The power of the v8 is well worth it, the “fuel savings” on the v6 are not there
  3. I have lifted quite a few trucks in my day and i will tell you that if you lift it any more than two inches, you should also replace your UCA’s with aftermarket UCA’s I would try nissteclifts and PRGproducts. See also calmini (I believe the Titan XD front suspension is the same as our NV’s)
  4. WHITE HIGH ROOF monday, tuesday 24, 25 Sept. 2018. Kaibab National Forest (FR 225) anyone here?
  5. I’ve been threatening to put some off road lights on my NV and Frontier but haven’t got around to it.
  6. I looked in search for it and couldn’t find one. Show us your NV!! Here’s mine
  7. My two, 13 Frontier and 15 NV are too old. http://www.autonews.com/article/20180830/COPY01/308309962/nissan-recalls-166000-n-a-vehicles-over-potential-ignition-switch
  8. The trailer is a ‘14 model and stupid here had never replaced them. I bought th trailer new and never replaced them. I got the new tires from etrailer and they are the Karrier brand. Cheap foreign made. I’m taking your route next time I need to replace them.
  9. A couple mos back I had to use the bottle jack. Not on my NV but on my travel trailer. I had a tire come apart outside of Phoenix when the heat was on. I had a bicycle lock on my spare tire I had to brake, and used my electric impact. I wanted to get it changed and get back in the AC’d van. Sometimes waiting for AAA is not an option, had to get it changed and off the side of the fwy. COOL WATER CAME IN VERY HANDY
  10. Try crutchfield https://www.crutchfield.com Nissan uses simular wire harnesses and radios for their vehicles
  11. I’m happy with the one I got. Works just fine for me
  12. Air cleaner filter (under the hood) Titan 5.6 or Frontier 4.0L filters fit as well as any aftermarket for same. Drop in filter K&N, aFe, etc., fit and same aftermarket CAI
  13. Tried to post, screwed it up, tried to edit, screwed that up, became fustrated and tried to delete. Could get that either
  14. Just in front of you driver’s rear tire. I would pull the solenoid vlv and replace it too and pull a 5/8” hose all the way to airbox on driver side engine compartment. Where I live on dirt roads, these things will pop P0448 every 15-20k until its switch to vent in airbox. Same with my Frontier, same with Titans, Xterras, Pathfinders etc., even Toyota Tacomas
  15. When you replace the solenoid valve, run a 5/8” hose from it to a fitting (you’ll need to get) on the engine compartment air intake box. (Where your air filter is)
  16. Altho i dont have numbers on my V6 NV, i can say that the V8 with it’s horsepower and torque, would have a tendency work less. I’ve had a Frontier with both the 4 and 6 cyl. and the more powerful 6 is about as effincient as the 4. I would venture to say that if I were to have the option I would probably get the 8.
  17. I would not recommend duratracs. The KO2’s i hear have no rim protectors anymore, if thats the case I cant use them either
  18. You could try these guys if you like the prerunner desert look https://dezertrunneroffroad.wordpress.com
  19. https://www.hidprojectors.com/collections/do-it-yourself These guys may have something we could use. If you like the desert prerunner look these guys are cheap and excellent https://dezertrunneroffroad.wordpress.com/products-pricing/
  20. Yesterday I drilled a two inch hole and installed a place to plug in 110v . Now I have the 12v and 110 capability.
  21. Congrats on your purchase. I would make sure none of the rattletrap is interferring with the door mechanism first, if not take it in to the dealer to be fixed.
  22. I tow a big huge 14’ trailer with my NV. It’s gvwr is 3532 and my NV max is 7100. Thats about close enough to the limit as I’ll get. I slow down too, its not that hard.
  23. I got the Rearviewsafety and a cam for the little travel trailer I tow. https://www.rearviewsafety.com/safety-solutions/backup-camera-systems/backup-cameras/third-brake-light-cameras/rvs-912-rear-view-camera-nissan-nv-backup-camera.html
